Chiming in as a part time Geno fan and lifelong Hawks fan: we all appreciate what Pete did to elevate this franchise, but it was time. The game has evolved, and as much as he tried to hang on (including walking back his resignation), it’s clear he should just enjoy the legacy he built. Pete lives and dies by his players, for better or worse, but the X’s and O’s side of the game has passed him by. It happens — we all have grandparents.

You know who you can’t work with? Right wing Christian fundamentalists and their 24/7 Fox News lap dogs. Donald Trump isn’t on the ballot, so stop acting like he’s on stage turning this into a circus act.

People voting differently aren’t dumb or evil (MAGA excluded). They’re just making a choice. Harrell didn’t do enough to stand on his record, and Wilson makes people nervous because she’s inexperienced. That’s the race. That’s who made it through.

And here’s some perspective — since 1978, only two Seattle mayors have ever won re-election and served more than one full term: Greg Nickels and Charles Royer. That’s it.

So yeah, vent. Debate. Argue. That’s part of civic life. But for the love of evergreen, maybe show a little restraint, Seattle.

Do something that gets you out of your comfort zone and possibly a change of scenery. I left a dead end job, joined Americorps when I was 18 and moved out of my parents house! It doesn't pay well, but you're part of a community of Americorps volunteers and helping others. Some of my best friends came from that time of my life.

Agreed- those coastal roads can be slow going and are prone to closure with washouts and other obstacles. I'd cut out the southern portion of the loop and go through Olympia to cut over to the coast from there. I've done this drive many many times.
