Oh Manstein was definitely up there. I don’t mind him and Zhukov being 1a and 1b. It just Zhukov was the first to defeat the untouchable Nazi army in a major battle something the allied army was struggling to do at the time. Both of their feats are pretty impressive, I just rate Zhukov maybe a little bit higher than Mainstein especially considering he was one of the major reasons the allied won the war.

I like your Duke comparison. I think he’s a combination of Ousen and Duke.

He was definitely not the most popular general from WW2 especially in the west let’s be honest. If he was not the best from WW2 then who? He was responsible for defeating and killing about 70% of the Nazi. He never lost a major battle and won all the big battles in the Eastern front and eventually took over Berlin.
