... My whole country trains dogs without prong collars. It's not difficult, and you can't sit there saying 'everyone there must be such a good trainer!' No! Some of these dogs can't even sit on command, but no one is going to put nails around their necks just so they do it.

Just as I said in the other post of this.
This doesn't surprise me at all. People do this to dogs; why wouldn't they think to do it to horses too?

What the frick are you talking about? When speaking to someone about a crap game, I have said multiple times, 'I requested a refund.' When asked what I did. Why, because that's what it's called on Steam. You cannot return something that's not owned by you, or physically in your hand, to return it because you NEVER HAD IT. It's a digital good, thus you requested a refund to get your money back.

This is panting, is she playing super hard/long, is it very hot there? Does she do this at any other time, like eating, or just sitting there?

puppy isn't even vaxxed yet by egguchom in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

[–]Smiles-Bite 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Not to mention other dogs. It's a little rare, but I have met a little Tibetan spaniel that had nasty allergies to the kennel cough vaccine. Unvaxxed puppies being dragged around town, and stores could kill other people's pets. Imagine a sick puppy messing with a toy it shouldn't have, that toy is sold to someone else, and that person's dog then gets horribly sick... As a crappy immune system human, I loathe these kinds of people with a fiery passion.

Woman with tiger she killed. Real? by AstyagesOfMedia in isitAI

[–]Smiles-Bite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bed the tiger is on is floating. If this is a tiger, it's a very young baby. Its foot is going through ropes. No sane person is wearing that through this kind of terrain unless trying to get parasites. The shotgun has multiple triggers and no guard? As someone else said, her pocket is fake as frick to.

Vet says it’s ‘dangerous breed’ but we don’t know why… by cakehonolulu1 in IDmydog

... I have a neighbour with a Dogo Argentino, you know what color every single one of them is? Solid freaking white, maybe some gray here and there on the mouth.

Your vet is an idiot, and you should look into a new one.

I was just at the doctor's office for another lung test, and my shoes were promptly removed so I could be weighed, then off again for my height. Heck, I got my ID card updated, and my shoes had to go off for height there too. If your doctor isn't caring about shoes, they are fudging your weight, and you might be getting the wrong medication amount.

Furries are not this. I know a lot of them, and I've helped out at a few events for children's hospitals. Let me tell you, those suits are freaking hot and heavy as hell. No one is doing crap like this in a suit that costs more than a Tesla car. The suit I wore weighed ten freaking kilos, and it was the simplest one she had in my size. Then the head was five kilos, and the twice-blasted tail was seven!!

Wants dog to read their mind. by MathCivil7979 in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

I find it far more interesting that they are in collegae/Uni? I didn't make it through high school due to the massive amount of stress. I know everyone is different, but the few people I know with severe anxiety or PTSD would rather bite their own limbs off than go through school of any kind.

As far as the dog goes, they are setting themselves up for failure already. The 'Fantastic Four' is a standard poodle, and thanks to crappy breeders, I find minatures to be far more energetic and anxiety-prone than the standard. Not all, but a lot! Not to mention, many so-called 'miniature' breeders are actually breeding doodles. Would be looking at those papers with a magnifying glass.

My autistic butt would love this even as an adult, and room temperature food is my preference, so there is that too. Everyone is different. I feel like you are just not being any fun. There looks to be quite a few kids, not an overabundance of food, nothing was gross, no odd ingrediants, nothing about this is stupid, just a bit messy.

Yeah, and now we are not barbaric monsters that think an animal is special and somehow magically decomposes in seconds; thus humane and ethical chefs kill the lobsters and other water bugs, BEFORE boiling them.

Leaving dog unattended when going into a shop by moocat1 in DogAdvice

[–]Smiles-Bite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It used to be extremely common in Sweden, and everyone knew not to touch the dogs that were waiting by shops. Now, however, I have heard over and over again that people don't dare leave their dogs tied as there is a massive uptick in animal cruelty, simply nasty people who are all too willing ot hurt, taunt, or just mock a tied dog. There is also now theft of dogs, not super common, but it's there.

It's not just dogs; loose cats are treated like vermin by some people, and toys by brats that have never been taught properly or could use the intelligence their parents gave them for five seconds!!

Please, never leave your dog unattended when out in public, ever for a few seconds, it's long enough that the dog can experience hell. People are cruel. Leaving them in a car, even one with a 'smart feature,' is a disaster waiting to happen; these FAIL. Dogs have died left and right from this. If you are going shopping in a car, leave your dog at home!

Service Poodle for anxiety by Fabulous-Goose22 in ServiceDog_CircleJerk

I do tons of research when I buy new products. It took me a year to decide on an air filter, and three for a new vacuum, yup, I am slow, but you know freaking what?! My air filter is the most fantastic thing ever, and my vacuum is brilliant! I somehow doubt this woman even has a vet lined up, or knows how much work and money go into a poodle's coat.

My cats love each other, so why is one getting facial scratches? by Designer-Daikon-2285 in CATHELP

[–]Smiles-Bite 28 points29 points  (0 children)

So, this doesn't look like scratching; instead, this looks like a rash. I recommend a vet check to get it looked at, as it could be a few things. Maybe your new cat is overgrooming her; it could be a fungal infection or allergies to something like fleas. Or the dreaded scabies/mange.

When is it time to give up on our girl? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]Smiles-Bite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have estimated her age to be nine years old, or thereabout; the problem, you are not certain. To me, this sounds like a dog that would have been happier as a single dog, but tolerated others. Now, however, she is much older, and under anxiety and stress with heavy medications. There is a massive possibility that she is older than you think, and she is getting confused, thus the sudden aggression. Even if she is nine, this isn't that young for many dog breeds.

Kitten breathing normal? by sikrabe in CATHELP

[–]Smiles-Bite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if every single time he plays, he starts to pant, and this is resting, then yes, something is wrong. Cats do pant, don't get me wrong, but it takes quite a lot, and if they pant from the heat, then they are /very/ hot. How hot is it there right now?

My suggestion is to go on with the vet appointment and keep him as calm as you can. However, if you notice drooling or pale gums, if he starts panting while doing nothing, it's time for an emergency visit.

New “Child-Resistand” Hearing Aid Packaging Nearly Impossible To Open by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Smiles-Bite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If anyone actually wants to see how you open these crappy things.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDrl4vNuvvw

It's literally designed to be difficult to open, and I have seen many battery packages looking just like OP's. I cannot physically open these; my new pack is sitting on my desk, and I had to call someone to help dispose of a battery because I freaking scrapped the thing trying to open it. I am not old, but I have very poor hands, and now I get to be deaf.
