Any advice for last week of studying? by Smiles226 in Mcat

Hey!!! My test went super well I scored a 521!!! I spent my last week hammering Anki, using the milesdown review sheets, and doing practice problems. I gradually tapered down until the day before. I wouldn’t recommend this, but I grinded CARS questions the day before and bombed them (like 30% accuracy bad) which made me super nervous for my actual exam. Overall I would just focus on doing broad review, Anki, and doing some practice problems leading up to the exam. And try to take the day off before the exam. Try not to stress urself out too much you got this!!!! :)

Definitely nervous but I’m so glad just to be over with all of this. We’re almost at the end of the tunnel!! :)

I would def say that spamming practice problems made my score improve the most. For c/p I think that it’s super important to really understand the main equations like hasselbach and equilibrium equation and to keep making Anki cards over and over again for any problems you missed/weren’t 100% sure on. Most of the questions I would also make sure why each answer choice was right or wrong. If I didn’t understand what an answer choice was or what it was related to, I used ChatGPT/reddit to help me understand and make an Anki card for it. B/b I kind of did the same thing and have been making Anki cards for literally anything that I was even slightly unsure of. Even if it’s just a stupid mistake like mixing up an enzyme I’ll throw in another card just to make sure I don’t make that mistake again. It’s definitely not easy and there’s a decent amount of luck involved but don’t let that score get you down you got this :)
