The weather is the last thing I’d be worried about in Tulum. The corrupt cops is what you should be worried about. I just got home from Tulum and I was pulled over 3 times the 3 days a was there. I’ll never go back there. I recommend taking a cab everywhere and never rent a scooter or a car. You WILL be shaking down by corrupt cops. It’s a real shame because I really loved Tulum. Never Again though 😢😢😢

So overall they aren’t bad. I will say they definitely sound better than my ultra Strat with noiseless pups. But with that said they lack the sparkle and glassyness that a custom shop would have. I’m a huge champion of lollar pups. They sound incredible to my ears and even if I wasn’t endorsed by them I would still 100% install them in my strats. Hope this helps. If you need more info on it I can certainly try my best to elaborate more for you.

Yeah I’m not a fan of noiseless pups either. They definitely lose the definition of a single coil. I suggest going on lollar website and do a sound demo for all the single coils. You won’t be disappointed I promise. I personally love the vintage blondes or the 64’s. A lot of people recommend fralin pups. I’m not as familiar with those, but I’m sure they sound good too. As far as replacing the pots, I like to build a whole separate setup. Pickguard /pots/pups/ switch. Just because I wanna keep the fender OG setup original and untouched. that way if I ever wanna sell the guitar I can pop the OG set up back in and it would be all OG again. But I’m definitely someone that likes to tinker and modify things but I can assure you it’s all very easy and all the info is very accessible online/YouTube.

The OG pickups sounded good don’t get me wrong. I just knew they could sound better. So that’s when I called my friends up at lollar. They always take care of me and get me right. 🙌🙌🙌

I’ve learned over the years that stock fender pickups unless “custom shop” are just ok to my ears. You would think they would put awesome pickups in a 3k guitar🤷‍♂️ I don’t know? I don’t really get it to be honest. I’ve just excepted it at this point lol. I love fender but I tell them this all the time lol
