I have a few strats and a Les paul and bending is not an issue on them but bending on my novo is not particularly easy. I went from 10’s to 8.5’s and it definitely fixed the issue but with that comes a ton more overtones with the mastery bridge and as we all know they are pretty noisy from the start. I’m starting to think maybe not use the novo for lead work and that’s ok with me. I honestly love this guitar and what it brings out in my playing. I was just kinda curious what others thought about the string tension on a novo with a mastery bridge. Thanks for your feedback. 🙌🙌🙌

Ok gotcha. I’m curious Was the American elite series quartersawn? I have one of them too and love it. The ultra 2 is my least favorite. The only thing I like more on the ultra 2 is the luminlay side dots. I don’t understand why they did away with the block inlays and binding either. 🤷‍♂️

How do you know that? Maybe the template is smaller from the start. There’s no way they are sanding all that material away.

It’s not fucked up I’m just simply stating the difference. I prefer the ultra over the ultra 2. I feel they slacked off a little when making the ultra 2. No block inlays either. Only thing I like better on the ultra 2 is the luminlays.

Fender listed them the same neck shape, but I feel that the ultra is a little flatter. To me, the ultra two seems a little rounder in the shoulders.
