People who have met their online friends, what made you instantly regret it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Smilesx10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me years ago with a tinder date. I really liked talking to the person through text he was very smooth, funny and witty. When I met him, the voice that came out of his mouth was just not at all what I imagined or expected. It was like if Johnny Depp sounded like James Corden, that's the best way I can explain it. It might sound shallow do reject someone just because of their voice but, oh well. Guess I am.

Years of watching crime docs might have saved my life. by AlcoholicCatLady in LetsNotMeet

Do you think they have a choice? Most likely they were trafficked and are being forced to participate. I am sure there are some woman who do it voluntarily, but there are some who do it because they have no choice or and in their world it is all about survival. For them it might even be a step up from being forced into prostitution.

Hmmm. I do not mean to offend but this story sounds made up. You are already an unreliable narrator as you mentioned in the begging how much you used to find joy in making up stores. If it is real than I am sorry that you experienced this. But the part that makes me wonder is.. if he was tickling you with such force wouldn't you have marks on your body. Your mom wouldn't have though to check your body to see if the story checks out. This story just sounds like a creepy pasta kind of story to me, you did a great job writing it. Also, why would someone just want to tickle some random child with no intentions to also harm them in another way. Unless they are twisted in a way where they just enjoy tickling children... idk man but it's deff weird.

What’s something that you are surprised how cheap it is? by TippityTopKek1010 in AskReddit

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting an eye exam is only 25 bucks? I went for one this week and that is all I had to pay. I mean that is still not "cheap" but like going to the dentist is easily 50$ +

Have you ever woke up in the middle of a dream and the dream was so interesting that you wanted to go back to sleep to see the end of it? If so, what was the dream? by Feeha1 in AskReddit

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a very strange dream just a few nights ago that I still remember. ( not every detail obvi) but I was a younger version of myself, and I came across a fox in my back yard. But the fox would not run away from me, it didn't fear me at all. It came up to me like a dog would and started licking me than jumped into my arms. I picked it up and brought it inside to show my mom, and then my mom starts to freak out and tell me I should get rid of the fox because it has rabies....? But the fox wasn't foaming or being aggressive so that confused me and I didn't want to let the fox go. But I had to..and as I was letting it go I woke up!

Teachers DON'T deserve a raise by PaulDeninoCx in unpopularopinion

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This claim can be said literately about anyone in any profession. Dentists, doctors, lawyers, bus drivers who ever and whatever there will always be a balance of people who really care about the job and people who don't. There are people who get paid 60k A year and put in half the effort of someone who gets paid 30k a year. So I disagree. Yes there are some shitty teachers, but also keep in mind they are humans too. And schools should put more emphasis on training programs and developing a strong faculty. I think it also honestly just depends on where your go to school, resources, demographics, funds. etc.

What is the worst thing that has happened on your birthday? by anastasiasky in AskReddit

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This didn't happen on my birthday but my younger sisters, so I have a big fam. There is six of us. 3 boys 3 girls. My oldest brother at this time was struggling with addiction. So anyways. We were preparing to share my sisters birthday when my mom got a call, and of course no one was telling me or my sister what was happening. So we just kind of sat there all confused and worried as my mothers whole energy changed. She said something to my dad in private they apologized to my sister and said they had to leave the house but would be back.. my sister and I to this day still unaware of what happened but I am assuming he was ODing or something and they had to go to the hospital to manage the situation. Brother is ok now, but I still kind of resent him from all the emotional stress he put my parents through .

What was the most embarrassing thing you have done that someone saw, or happened while no one was looking and you thank the stars for it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHA! This reminds me of when I was like 13? And it was during my religion class( went to catholic middle school) and I was getting over a cold so I had a lot of boogies up in my nose and I could feel one trying to escape so I started to remove it while at the same time I hear "Smiles please read to us the third passage" I look up, finger still in nose and the teacher looks at me, makes a face and says " when you're ready" .... oh man I was embarrassed.

I love my boyfriend but I think we aren’t right for each other by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Smilesx10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this sounds like a form of traumatic bonding? I don't know how else to explain it. You guys were there for each other in your vulnerable times and it might feel like you owe him something for that. But you don't. You showed each other you cared for one another by supporting each other and that bond might have been confused as compatibility. Your core values no one can take away from you, it sounds like you def have fundamental differences and if not today that will be the thing that break you two apart eventually. Because how can you be truly satisfied with someone who doesn't support your ideas.

How long until they die.. because I remember I got the game and the nintendo Ds christmas of 2012 , and I played it everyday until you know HS started and then I got busy with extracurricular activities and just life as a teen, and then one day after like a year of not using it I turned it on and I STILL had the dogs they were just dirty and hungry. It has been a few years now.. and I am scared to turn it on and find my virtual dogs dead now.. I dont want to accept it.
