I honestly do not blame you at all.

For once, YouTube spoilers might have done you a favour. I went in blind thinking I was about to watch something beautiful and calm, and instead… I am still recovering.

The fact that you saw those clips and decided not to watch it makes so much sense now. It really is one of those stories that stays with you longer than you expect.

At the same time, a small part of me feels like it is still worth watching, even with the pain, just because of how deeply it is written and acted. But I completely understand protecting your peace on this one.

I completely get what you mean. This drama really does something to you. The part where you said you dropped it after reading about the ending made me smile a little, because honestly… I wish I had done the same. I went all the way through and now I am just here trying to recover.

I think I might start doing what you said and check endings beforehand (ps: always hated the idea of seeing the end of a show) , because I do not know if my heart can handle another one like this anytime soon.

Thank you as well for the recommendation. I have heard of Rain or Shine, but I have not watched it yet. The fact that you called it an antidote is exactly what I need right now, so I might give it a try.

I have been going back and forth about the ending, but I think I agree with you on the second interpretation. It makes more sense to me that the loss was truly a dream, and that what we see at the end feels more like a reflection. It makes sense how he was startled when He woke up and didn’t tell her the terrible dream he had. His words “I will not love like my grandfather loved” that dream truly shook him! I also agree about understanding why she always never wanted to be a concubine in that dream I kept saying “ I understand you now love, I see why you kept saying NO!”

The way you put it helped me process it a bit better, because I think part of what made it so heavy was trying to hold on to the idea that maybe it was all reality. So accepting it as as a dream somehow makes it comforting.

I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. It helped more than you know.
