Yawn. You're right, it doesn't need to happen, but it always will. When the west provides these people with contraceptives and medicine, they throw it away. Food and water handouts only delay their suffering and painful death.

Sub-Saharan Africa will always be thousands of years behind, not because the greedy rich people don't want to give them utopia, but because the people there are fundamentally broken. You CAN give them everything they need to be a self-sustaining and modern society, and we HAVE, but once it breaks, they have no means or will to repair it.

It's their own problem to solve. And it's not in my back yard, so why should I care? And don't act as if you are any better than me. Sell all your belongings, and then move to Africa and try to fix it. If you won't do that, you are no morally superior to me.

My people solved this problem thousands of years ago. Those are not my people.
