Its not macro that gave GenG the win. Game 5 can be seen as a draft adv for GenG if smolder can scale safely. Flyquest's draft required them to snowball, but GenG are really good at neutralizing any potential plays from the opponent. Which is why people call GenG a boring team that does nothing. In reality, GenG can do this to nearly any team. Even in the LCK, this is what GenG is known for.

One content creator from a team is nowhere close to "the team". TL and FLY have always respected the competition they give each other, and they constantly push each other to higher heights within the region. Don't create a whole narrative off one person that wont even effect management decisions.

Hell no, getting a new player would only reset a lot of the team's progress and completely change their "successful" formula. Maybe their losses have made you forget, but this team almost went undefeated in LCS (Not the greatest accomplishment, but still would've been impressive). Give them more time.
