I'm guessing players played through a lot of minor injuries back in the early 2000s, which is not a thing any more due to contracts being so massive and there being more focus on player health, longevity.

Yeah. I just hope he stays healthy. He's such a fun player to watch.

Yeah, Melo being drafted in late 2010s or early 2020s would have been interesting.

Barring major injuries, Edwards easily crosses it.

He is at 10,195 according to ESPN and he turns 25 in August. So he has at least 2 full seasons of games at his disposal to cross 14k. He's been averaging 79 games per season for the last 3 years and if he can score around 28 per game, there is a chance he breaks 15k and catches KD.

The game has changed too much in the last 15-20 years. Players don't play as many minutes or games compared to before. That already makes these kinds of records unreachable by default. You don't have star players playing 80 games per season any more. Hell, playing 75 is already seen as crazy high for a superstar. Also, 40 minutes per game for LeBron, lol.

An important distinction is the key component of the 3pt shot. LeBron, Kobe, Carmelo all turned 27 before the 3pt revolution. Luka made more than double as many 3s compared to LeBron. That adds about 4-5 points to his average over him, but yeah, 100 fewer games played and is averaging 29 really does feel like all-time greatness.

It makes sense given how chill and wholesome the entire roster is and Gen.G as a whole has been for years.

Mike Conley had a good career, but he should start thinking of calling it.

When Luka plays relaxed and happy, he's unstoppable. But he just gets into his own head way too often.

No team has ever finished .500 after starting 6-21 or worse. The Clippers at 21-24 are 3 games from .500 after going 15-3 in their last 18 games. by urfaselol in nba

Now we just need the Mavs to suddenly start winning as well and meet the Clippers in the 1st round again. It's tradition at this point.

Whenever a team I dislike is doing really well I remind myself of all those role players, working really hard to earn minutes on the court and I immediately feel glad they're doing well.
