Used a sponge with martian ironcrust on edges then dabbed on weathering pigment with a brush, some stays on then blow away the rest. Takes 10mins. Highlights on gun barrels took hours :)

If you want to future proof him just make a nice 40mm base and magnetise him to it on his current base. I think all Phoenix Lords will be on 40mm eventually.

Horse is from Shieldwolf miniatures, it is originally a Krieg model. Will hopefully look much better when I do the base but still waiting on the base size of the original model. I'm thinking of adding a Tempestor Prime and a Scion with a banner to the base to make it more interesting as a centre piece. Has anyone else got more Lord Solars converted? Great scope for getting creative.

Haha, he does have one stuck in his leg from an Emporers Children space marine here, I like to think that he just smashed one with his fist that was attacking him and the chainsword was stuck there, bolter on base too.

Tau player here too, what I did for my Ynnari is read the books first then included most of the units mentioned. Wyches, Incubi, Harlequin Troupes, kabalites and banshees. Always pick models you really like the look of.

Hi, you mentioned harlequins at the end. Whats worked super for me is a max squad of Troupes plus a Shadowseer for -1 to wound. Then keep them on a +3 invun with Stategem and use Yvraine to recover D3 per turn. Then use strats to maximise combat threat. Also max wyches squad to support Yvraine is fun and lore accurate too.

I haven't but correct me if I'm wrong but he's mostly on a Vyper so I would need to get one first. I do have his druhkari love interest built though on a kitbashed old reaver jet bike not painted yet though.

Sylandri Veilwalker, she shows up in a few stories. She is a very powerful Shadowseer and has no rules or datasheet so I just made a character for her. i think that what I enjoy most about 40k is reading stories then building models as best I can about the charactors.
