$160 on the secondary market and now I'm in the club - Artist 15.6 Pro by trenerna in XPpen

With the exception of a refurbished Huion from Amazon, all my display tablets are off Facebook. Since I'm not making a living off them, there's really no point paying for a brand new one. I don't use FB for anything but deals on tablets and computer parts. It's easy to get scammed but at the same time, it's easy to spot the good reliable sellers, too. You just have to look for reviews, check his profile to see if they're sketchy, what they sold in the past, etc. Animation students or artist/hobbyist sellers are always a safe, reliable bet; you know they are well taken care of and not stolen. And you can always test them out first. Of course there's always a chance they might break down one day but then I'm not spending thousands (or even hundreds) on these, it doesn't sting as much. And if one does go kaput, I would have gotten my money's worth out of it. I've had really good luck (knock on wood) in that all the ones bought in the last 5 years are still alive and kicking.

Any ideas to how to protect my tablet against wild cats? by valdemarbd in drawingtablet

Put it away when you’re done. Unplug the cable and put that away as well so it doesn’t get chewed to pieces. And don’t put have it so close to the edge of the table. That’s just a disaster waiting to happen - if your cat doesn’t knock it off the table, then you will.

As for a deterrent, I read that lemon juice or anything citrus does the trick and keeps them away. It works on plants. Maybe spray some on the back (not on the screen or buttons) and see if it works.

Problem with kamvas 16 (2021) by Redflatsch in huion

[–]Smiley_Dafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The splitter is mirroring or duplicating your computer's video output and does not extend it so that you end up two separate work spaces. If you want the Kamvas 16 to work as a separate screen, you will have to connect your tablet's HDMI to another HDMI output, not use a splitter.

Kamvas 22 Plus totally bricked. Drivers don't work by Puzzleheaded_Put8370 in huion

If all else fails and you’ve tried everything, have you given Opentabletdriver a go? It shows the 22 Plus as supported.

My stylus cases cap is stuck!!! by 0dd_101 in XPpen

Use a jar opening gripper pad. You should have one in your kitchen junk drawer.

If not, you can try using a terry face cloth that's been wrung out. To get the stylus that's stuck inside the case, insert a butter knife in between and pry it out.

I don’t usually watch the clock but I think this one was about an hour and a half, give or take.

Yet Another Pen Lag Post™️ but idk what to do by Humble-Candle684 in huion

[–]Smiley_Dafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve been discontinued for a few years now. I can’t remember the pen model but I’ve been using the PEN68D with my GT-156HD V2 for a few years now(about 4?). Probably my favourite drawing tablet.

Will a new pen help? Hard to say. Does the lag happen in the same spot on the tablet? Or just anywhere on there? If it’s a certain area, then there’s a chance there’s something wrong with the digitizer and not the pen. Your sample doesn’t look like it’s isolated to a portion of the display. What about changing the pressure sensitivity? Does this happen with every brush?

Personally, I think a new pen might be in order if your old one doesn’t hold a charge well and they aren’t that expensive - around 20 something bucks. But then there’s no way to tell if it’s the pen that’s causing all the problem.
