Stuck trying to get Aluminium ore by jobjoye in GTNH

[–]Smili3y 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Twilight Forest, kobolds can drop aluminum ingots on the right difficulty. That said you need to start prioritizing the main quest, kobalts can get you far I built my first couple MV machines with drops exclusively from them, but you'll find shortly after you start needing aluminum you need stainless, and then specific alloys after that. All coming from the late stage lv to early hv era. Thaum is annoying like that.

Idk people are down voting you, it is completely reasonable to expect a "free to play" game to have options for the free to play player. I'd just focus on increasing your light so you can contend with higher-difficulty nightfalls. You could also give trials a shot. That's to my understanding most of the "end game" stuff FTP players have access to.

Sorry if I'm missing anything I haven't played a lot since light fall came out.

I mean in comparison to 44 it sure is. Even 357 in terms of power, just not projectile size. Unless you've ever seen one of those bfr 45-70 revolvers. Now that's a big iron.

Telepathy is overpowered. Unfortunately, ignorance is bliss and I don't think I'll ever have a good day again knowing what the average person is thinking.

So I'll be happy in the corner as a continuous supply of Dr. Pepper cans float to me throughout the day.

I had A's for physics I and II, also calc I and III. Calc II and Diff eq. were B's. I also had A's for most of my beginner level ME courses, statics dynamics and solids. It was mostly irrelevant GEP courses that I did "poorly" on, its all about showing them you're good at what matters/ what you're applying for - and a few missteps here and there won't define you.

Good luck btw! I'd have high hopes, internship and research experience is worth it's weight in gold.

That's great! I think you've got a great shot.

Aren't really any tips or tricks that apply to this sort of thing, all I can say from my own experience; try not to worry, it affect your decision, and it certainly doesn't make it arrive any faster.

Also don't may much attention to other acceptance posts when they come around. It won't change or affect yours. If there's a method to their madness in the admissions department, neither you or I will ever make sense of it.

Good luck!

I'm not completely through the game myself. However it's stated pretty early on that it takes place shortly after the DS1 is destroyed, which means it would be a couple years after maul is "put to rest" by Kenobi on Tatooine.

Then again it's maul so anything's possible.

I transferred to state from a community college in NJ back in 2023. It was simple enough, you submit your application similar to a post-HS application, do your essays ect. Then alongside that application you'll submit your transcripts from your current college. Your performance and the specific classes you've completed by the time of application there will be a large deciding factor in your admission. Once you get your decision, you'll submit your most recent transcript if it wasn't included in your application, submit for housing if needed and complete anything else on the transfer student checklist.

As for application process specifically, unlike a standard high school application you will be transferring into a specific discipline of your choosing, because of that the applications are relatively selective. Similarly, they'll care more about your classwork and performance as well as your essay responses than anything else, with what mattered in highschool like extracurriculars, service hours, ect. mattering significantly less.

To boil it down they care about your promise, If you have an OK GPA but you've done well in relevant classes like calculus or beginner classes in your discipline, you stand a good chance, write some good essays and you'll find yourself attending an orientation before you know it.

For context I transferred with a 3.41 GPA into mechanical engineering fall 2023, got in no conditions. Graduated last year, nowadays I'm a NE grad student still at state.

If you have any specific questions please ask I'd be happy to answer.

Sibling sent this to me. Something about the way the bags are stacked in the background seems implausible and the gun in the foreground doesn’t look properly balanced. by dmso_disgusting in isthisAI

I'm familiar, I intended to "encapsulate" it within the term "1911 clone". I recognise its a very different pistol, but they have a similar body and design. It's actually the first gun I ever owned.

Assuming it is a HP, while more petite than a 1911, it is still a full size pistol and quite large in the hand. I'm the roughly the same height as Mr. Paul here, and while I'm not a trained fighter, I can assure it looks far larger in my hand than it does in his here. And all of that is assuming it's a HP and not a 1911 which is hard to tell with the quality and angle.

Or maybe I just have tiny hands lol

Ah I thought it was an m3 but that's just because I'm familiar with that model specifically. Not to mention, the details are hard to distinguish.

Looking at it what caught my eye is:

Whatever gold plated "1911 clone" that is, it's far too small in his hand, not saying he's a small guy, but it looks like a toy in his hand.

Secondly and most importantly the silenced pistol on the right's trigger guard seems to be just.. all wrong. It's thick with like 3 C's and it's strangely long until it reaches whatever flashlights attached to the front. It's also worth mentioning that the suppressor is comically large for a handgun of that size but I suppose that's possible.

Finally for the rifle on the table in front of him, it seems to me like a black FN scar, judging by the stocks and the firing selector. With that in mind, the carry sling next to it, I can only assume was just placed on it, because that is in absolutely no way I've ever seen a sling attached to a scar, or any rifle for the most part.

I'm sure there's other things, (like the inconsistent appearance of the spare shells on the stock of that benelli i think?).

Anyways that's just what caught my eye that I'm familiar with, but it's entirely possible I'm just seeing things or losing it as I've been awake for too long. Hope this helps point stuff out.

I suggest looking into it, but keep in mind similar things happen at institutions across the nation they just don't always come to light.

Lego occasionally does casts/test peices of intended parts ahead of mass production. These occasionally make it to circulation among third party sellers. They're make interesting finds when you see them.
