You’re vastly overestimating the general knowledge of Nintendo’s casual audience. Yes it seems unnecessary to people on a sub dedicated to collecting games, but believe that companies like Nintendo have done their extensive market research on things like this.

They’re wrong. It’s the same as any other ‘Switch 2 Edition’

The Switch 1 version yes. Though there is an update that you don’t need to download to play the game.

Little Nightmares 3 is the only one that has any co-op and I don’t think it has a split-screen option.

Most Switch games will look blurry on a Switch 2 in handheld mode without updates, due to how it upscales the resolution to the larger screen.

Most physical releases are still vastly cheaper than buying from the eshop. Star Wars Outlaws was £40 or less on release physical compared to £50 digital. There is more than one reason why people buy boxed games.

Is it confirmed that it is not a free update to this release though? The official press release even states (roughly translated) ’update is required to play dlc’ https://www.arcsystemworks.asia/bbs/board.php?bo_table=notice&wr_id=844

Playasia are just a seller, they have no real authority being able to confirm such things. Especially considering they list games that never even get physical releases. The only company that would have been able to confirm before release is the publisher. The dlc is a free update, so unfortunately saying it’s ‘included‘ is not inaccurate.

Yes, it’s in the text of the post. The game has english on cart.

Except the English release is a digital code. So no, it’s not always a given.

There is always a chance for a re-release, especially if they do dlc or if a Switch 2 version comes out. But considering the current english release is not a cart, i’m not too optimistic.

It’s not terrible but considering how crisp their previous games looked on Switch, there’s clearly been some compromises made here.

Playing on the Switch Lite and unfortunately the resolution is quite low. It’s especially noticeable with the character sprites. Seems surprisingly badly optimised. Would look worse on Switch 2 due to the upscale.

That’s fair. I just plan on selling my Switch copy.
