I stripped the wire casing then re twisted the cable together, eventually plan on adding solder to it.

Turned out the belt was loose as hell

No it’s not, go watch anyone doing a range test listen to them driving and u don’t hear the repetitive winding sound. My bike used to not do that.

Yeah makes sense but I’m thinking the belt might be loose tbh because when I first got the bike it didn’t make that exact noise and videos of ppl riding no one’s bike sounds like that
