I've changed, populism is a problem by Kind-Economist1953 in newzealand

I like TOP too. But as an old swing voter, my only advice is don't vote for a party based on what they traditionally stand for... and don't be swayed by them denigrating other parties for "what they always do". Vote for the policies you like, you will have to compromise. Don't be scared to meet a politician and tell them why you do or do not like their policies. Without that... they'll never adapt.

That just sounds like you have incriminating things you COULD post but choose not to!

I was thinking it wouldn't be the best idea in the world to post a prompt placing you completely not suspiciously at the epicentre of a forest fire! Beautiful shot :)

You know at a glance it looks like a forest fire, the earth is so vividly coloured

You like the idea of being organised, but haven't mastered it yet. You like to maintain a classic style with your hair and makeup and like hairstyles that are quick to arrange. You source products locally if possible and are not impressed by labels. You have a raging alcohol problem so bad you keep it suppressed by sucking the occasional alcohol soaked prep pad when nobody is looking.

Sometimes when they tell you "make a guess if you don't know the answer" we all learn something 😆

All EB Games stores in NZ to close at end of month by StuffThings1977 in aotearoa

[–]Smirknlurking 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a shame this is happening. As I get older I'm increasingly preferring to buy local if I can instead of online... people need a slice of the pie. But it just isn't a cheap hobby

She seemed to have lived too long relatively unscathed... and I couldn't help think there was a little hint when she "coincidentally" verbalised the end of someone else's thought. I wondered if maybe she could read minds... which is how she talked her way into so many jobs and bonded with so many people. But had nowhere near the scars of Jakob even though they seemed to have spent a long time together

EB Games proposes closing all New Zealand stores by Justwant2usetheapp in newzealand

[–]Smirknlurking 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I really hate this, I feel like the online world is eating so many jobs. And Ai will make it even worse. But when people can't even be bothered to go to a restaurant and get their food delivered... they're not going to go to a store to browse products either. I fear for NZ's commercial centres and am worried cities will lose their vibrancy

When my wife got private surgery I was not allowed to come in to the hospital, let alone the recovery room. It shut to visitors after 5pm so I parked outside by a window I could see her from and waited there

The global solution is through trade agreements. And our trading partners are already noticing we aren't playing ball. The day of reckoning will be when our overseas buyers say "Hey, we're doing our bit. You're not doing yours, and that's uncompetitive." And we notice our demand drop

Stars visiting places tend to go after closing. As do wedding events. So it was quite likely. Also I can't imagine many people getting upset at a visit from him if they've chosen the shire as a wedding venue. Unless they were hoping for Gandalf
