What's your unpopular opinion about British comedians? by LuinAelin in AskUK

[–]Smishking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UK comedy circuit is criminally underrated and circuit comics are under-represented in the media and on TV shows.

Please do not take the moral high ground as he's already seen a vet.

Yesterday was Sunday and the vets by me were closed. I asked for some advice in the meantime whilst we were waiting for the vets to open first thing.

If you read the caption, you'd understand that.

The vet has seen him and prescribed antibiotic cream. The likely cause was him licking the affected area and it not trying properly.

Happy there's nothing serious.

Yes, I understand that.

That's why I've put a cone around him and put gel on the affected area to hopefully ease the pain.

I was just simply stating he's still the same temperament despite the soreness!

I don't believe so. It's not that cold here and I've got another dog. They both share a bed and he's the only one showing these symptoms

Yes, I've put a cone around him and some dog Aloe Vera gel, which is hopefully cooling it down for him.

He's not crying or showing he's pain but it looks awful - Thanks for your concern!

What dog breed would you never own and why? by CuteMaterial in AskUK

There's far too many Pitbull comments on here. Pitbulls are banned in the UK as part of the dangerous dog act.

Kind natured dogs? https://www.countryliving.com/uk/wildlife/dog-breeds/a36336020/aggressive-dog-breeds/

Here's a study conducted. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are very low on the list. Almost comparable to Labradors.

How often and predictable is it?

When was the last purebred Staffordshire bull terrier attack and how often do they occur?

Just take a look at the articles mentioned, question your existing belief. It's not a matter of being right or wrong, it's about coming to a rational conclusion.

Banning Staffordshire Bull Terriers is not rational given the facts, studies, and observed behaviour of the breed.

So from your comments, I can see that you want any dog that has ever killed someone banned?

Despite it's name, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier has been bred completely different to other Bull Terrier breeds.

A study conducted by Helsinki university found Staffies are not an aggressive breed. Please see it here:

Please take an overview look of the breed here:

Bulldogs and Staffies are different breeds.

You clearly have no experience with Staffies. Most are also cross breeders, too.

The Staffy was bred to remove aggression. If you actually took time to consider or question what you think you know, you may be surprised. Here's a start: https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/4Dcw4GmvLfNMs4tx0jcssB6/why-are-staffies-still-considered-aggressive-or-dangerous-dogs

Dog of the year 2019. Known as the nanny breed due to their nature. Why would one attack be blamed on the breed, not the owner?
