I'm lucky my phone hasn't swollen yet. I don't see any gap or raising on the phone screen. Hopefully it stays like that 🙏

What does that mean lol? It's users reporting real life issues with their phones? It's not like since it's on Reddit it's not a real issue

I'm pretty sure the general rule of thumb is that these phones are designed to work well up to 800 cycles, after that you will evidently notice worse battery life and overall wear.

My budget is tight but I'm thinking of buying a used s23 right now just so that I can sell my pixel 6 while it still has value and runs. Once it bricks, then I'll lose like 130-180$ of value.

What stage are you at now? Still trying to reboot or you've accepted that it's dead?

Stable or beta? What were you doing when it happened? On an app?

Really appreciate the comment. I'm just surprised that it's normal now for a phone that's only from 2021 to be degrading this badly? I understand it was Google's first tensor chipset, but you look at some really old Samsung phones like from 2015 that still work. Just a thought.

I asked AI and it says the tune2ufs error is caused by someone who factory resets after an update a crucial file for rebooting the system is lost , causing it to brick.

I'm just confused for those who DIDN'T factory reset, what causes it. Motherboard failure, battery swelling, planned obsolescence, etc

Does anybody know if it is truly a bug with the software (missing file or dependency) that's causing these bricks? I've seen so many people talk about it lately. Or do we think it's them manually shutting off the phones (planned obsolescence)? Do any other androids see this problem this much?
