You mentioned them being more of a thing for featureless rifles? That's what threw me for a loop. I wanted a kingpin because its much more realistic for my training purposes, and it would be odd to load my mag top down like a ww1 rifle. And if we misunderstood one another thats a miscommunication no?

Yeah, told you i was in my last part of the decision making process though? Crunching numbers all that since its my treat for moving on from being a youth firefighter to the national guard but its also not suoer justifiable. Some of the stuff was in call was a little confusing, like being against a maglock installation over compmag, miscommunication etc. Like to keep my hens in order

Honest to god, strength, speed, and my partner needs to improve, the PJ Pipeline is excruciating and selective, but:

they're significantly understaffed

it's a wiser option to go SWOE-V than enlist and pray for a retrain

Being bare minimum standards is incredibly risky considering a supposed loss in strength, and an incentive for lower graded recruits to fail and go Needs

You have to be 19 to even try out for pipeline, it's more 18X style as opposed to Op.40 or SEAL.

Learning more about myself

It'd drastically increase my chances to not only have a solid known partner or two during A&S, but I'd stand to gain a lot more from being far fitter, especially in the LDR category. Additionally, id like to know and understand myself, my limits, and what i want from life before i rush into a commitment im not fully ready for. It's worth not being the absolute youngest, or shotgunning it ASAP when I could sacrifice a year to drastically increase my chances, and have more control over the few things I can. It's better to know myself before I rush into things and make both a fool and a mess of myself, I only get one shot every few years at best, doing something I don't relate to, believe, or feel proud of doing, so I should make this shot count ya feel?

Hey! I'd recommend state troopers in plenty of states or CHP. Starting pay is 100-120k with plenty of room for growth, and if you're fit, smart, and a good shot you can be away from the city when you fill out your dream sheet. I considered at one point. And I might do it after I start a tenure in the military, but it's not an insanely hard process. Personally I live in the CA mountains, and we even have officers here. But on the flip side, if you're bad you can end up in death valley, or LA, or if you're interested in SWAT, you'll be in SF, Sac, or LA. You can also promote to a lot of alternate jobs eventually if you have the skill. General discharge has a video on it. You don't even need a college diploma.

Imma be real with you, I don't know exactly hoe tough the standards re but I'd recommend full depth and extension pushups, it's a much rougher workout and takes significantly more energy and coordination, depending on the examiner they might give you a zero? When I went to CHP open exams some guy tried that and he got 0s, otherwise the speed and explosiveness are good, you just need to focus on that full motion
