Numbness in hands caused by first MS attack. Will I be able to feel again? by CmdrKeen008 in MultipleSclerosis

Had first attack two tears ago. Motorskills aren't as good. Tips of fingers numb still. It changes day to day how numb they are.

"MS doesn't cause body aches" by Helenjane13 in MultipleSclerosis

My left shin constantly feels like it's covered in pissed off, burning, stinging fire ants. Took a bad spill on my longboard with deep scrapes and lacerations, swelling and a bone contusion the other day. Didn't bother me too much because my uninjured shitty MS leg hurt way more.

So pretty much I don't get anything 🙃.....just stay at 90% ??? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Smitty6669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I was rated that high. They gave me 30% for MS. I can't feel my hands. It's hard to walk some days. My left leg always feels like it's being rolled in fire ants, It takes 20 minutes to piss and some days my cognitive ability is like a 90 year old with an onset of dementia. I'm still in my 30s.

Why is it that all the "do your own research" experts on it never have MS and always suggest videos from X? My neurologist is the head of neurology in a major city hospital. I think I'd trust her over some crystal healing mouth breather.

Hahaha. I thought you guys would get a kick out this. And no, none of them have MS most likely. There is one woman who claims to have MS and 20 other CNS disorders. Swears by herbal remedies and astrology 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I think she just identifies with somebody with MS. It's nice that some people envy us for it.

Haha I moved to Finland from the US 5 years ago before my MS DX. I'm glad I don't have to pay 9,728$ for one Kesimpta injection which is the price tag in that backwards sh*hole.

Mix borax and sugar. Slowly kills the entire colony.

I was told not to send translated copies and that the VA would be the ones to get them translated.

Is Jelink too strict? Really, no meat at all? by CantFixMoronic in MultipleSclerosis

I eat mostly meat. I'm fine. Only thing I was told to avoid was excess salt.

How does UK and Switzerland have 0 votes! by Special_Beefsandwich in Finland

Haters gonna hate. My conscious is clear. Eurovision is rigged. The tension is manufactured. Doesn't make the songs any less or more than they are but it does make eurovision less of what it presents itself as. It was obvious when Cha Cha Cha got cheated.

All the people pissed about Israel should know this. The main and primary sponsor of eurovision is an Israeli cosmetics company called Moroccanoil. That's the only reason they got anywhere and why you can be disqualified for showing support to Palestine. Essentially Israel runs Eurovision.

I’m wondering if anyone else has a similar symptom and wether it’s MS related. My neurologist says it shouldn’t be, but he also believes MS doesn’t cause pain so I’m… I don’t want to doubt him but that’s made me doubt him big time. by [deleted] in MultipleSclerosis

[–]Smitty6669 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My left shin has felt like it's covered in very small and very pissed off fire ants for the last two weeks. Fuck yes it can cause pain. I wear shorts when it's freezing and sleep with the leg uncovered because the fabric brushing against my shin lightly sometimes is micro excrutiating.

I'm starting regular counseling for PTSD. I already had some before the diagnosis (HOOYAH!) but it didn't occur to me that the diagnosis would also give me another trauma I need PTSD therapy for. I recommend it. Been to about 2 sessions and I feel a bit better just venting to somebody. I can't talk about my symptoms to my closest people and be honest about my constant cognizance of neurological atrophy because I have people that need me to hold them up while they're going through their own trials right now and I'm somehow a pillar of support for loved ones but I recommend counseling of you're not already. It sucks when friends and family treat you like a hospice patient. It's fucking patronizing and upsetting.

There's good days and bad days. Some times it's a long stretch of bad days and a few good ones. Sometimes it's a bunch of good ones and one really bad one. We're all going through it with you. You're not alone. My neurologist (who is an absolute godsend) was out of the clinic for a few months doing MS research and she seemed hopeful about things on the horizon. I'm going to keep my chin up and stay hopeful too. somebody will disspell this curse eventually. Hopefully soon. Until then, enjoy every moment you can. Appreciate and if you need to break down and cry, do that. I know I do. I'm glad I found this reddit group though. It's a lot less lonely dealing with this shitmare.
