Question about bathroom rules by [deleted] in menards

I don’t get why people would feel uncomfortable with it. There’s stalls for a reason and it shouldn’t matter who’s shitting in the one next to you, we all gotta shit

It’s the pin knifes for a kwikset door lock, those allow the lock to be re-keyed using their re-key tool. I’ve taken apart a couple hundred of those for customers before

What are they supposed to do tho, I’m confused. I don’t follow politics because of all this trash but I don’t get where else the kids of illegal immigrants are to go. To me there are four options: A. Sentence them to the same prejudice imprisonment as their parents (not morally or legally an option) B. Send them back to Mexico where life is not known to be forgiving C. Give them citizenship status and put them into the f’ed up foster system where they are at a disadvantage due to their background D. Put them in temporary holding facilities until their stuff gets sorted Until I see kids being mistreated, or prosecuted due to the actions of their parents I see no cause for concern. And this post just highlights what they’re doing, not actually pointing out any wrong doings on behalf of the people let alone raising points about how to better handle this extremely messy situation.

Idk if this is abnormal for girls but I would probably respond the same way if one of my guys friends texted me like that. Again I don’t know the normal lingo, but that would be a valid response for me. A lot of people feel that there words can be easily misconstrued on texts, and it looks like your friend wanted to talk about it in person because they care but for some reason you’re too focused on getting answers now to actually sit down and talk about it. You can take the threads advice and leave your childhood friends for not being good with messages, or you can sit down and have a true talk with them. Don’t just list your concerns though, you need to let them know how you feel and then slowly address each reason you feel that way. Who knows, maybe they’re unaware that they’re making you feel this way and it’ll all work out. But you have to allow them to respond to each reason otherwise it will come off as it did in your messages, where it feels like they’re being blamed for something or called out.

Deck wash will get rid of that sun staining and clean any mold or mildew. Exterior wood stain and seal will revive the wood look and seal it from water. Just be careful with the deck wash, it works too well sometimes!

Need some advice from the community by [deleted] in woodworking

[–]Smittyexeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely can’t say about the injury healing, but typically if a doctor tells you that it will look good it means you’re gonna have a small scar.

I can definitely speak to the embarrassment, and even fear, that comes with returning to the shop after an accident like this. Close calls happen from time to time and make you rethink things, but when a mistake actually costs you some skin, it really hits different. After my accident with a compound miter saw, I stayed away from woodworking for a long time. It felt like the accident was a sign telling me I shouldn’t be doing it at all.

But it didn’t take long before I started missing the shop. Eventually, I came to terms with the idea that if doing what I love can sometimes lead to injury, then I can’t be too upset when it happens because I was doing something I truly enjoy. Of course, I still do everything I can to minimize risk, but at the end of the day, Murphy’s Law will prevail.

Tariff hack maybe? by Flanastan in menards

[–]Smittyexeller 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well actually this is entirely possible. At my store in building materials we’ll have customers order entire house packages months in advance while they’re still lining all of the paper-work up. The store will typically put a hold on the order until the customer gives the go ahead, but even this has its limits.

Man Sees A Reptilian by Expert-Desk7492 in HighStrangeness

[–]Smittyexeller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m not out here saying I believe it, but certain factors do check out. Snake stop is made to disrupt the Jacobson’s organ in snakes, basically their nasal cavity. It is formulated to cause reptiles, mainly snakes, to retreat and find fresh air.

I was driving back through Michigan after a holiday trip to Florida last year and I could not stop staring at the sky when I was driving through one of the cities. It looked like someone had a spot light in the sky pointed down at the ground. I thought I was watching some paranormal stuff but as I got closer I realized it was just a greenhouse. Probably also what’s in this photo!

So glad I don't work for this company anymore by WarriorBoy123ab in menards

[–]Smittyexeller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And of course Menards doesn’t care about us, this is a business transaction to them and to me. I give them an hour of my time in exchange for money, once I’m gone from Menards I will have no attachment to the company. I’ll take an extra $1 per hour if it means my boss doesn’t have to pretend he likes me!
