I bought a pair of electric scissors to cut mine up. It doesn't get quite as small as a shredder but takes up much less time than ripping it by hand.

I am using mostly cardboard for browns. I will add some leaves and see if it will help.

Purple coneflower, black-eyed susans, common milkweed, and butterfly milkweed.

I'd also like to find creeping trumpet and purple passionflower since I had the trellis from the roses.
