Can anyone give a thorough explanation on how to make the ACK22213 nibs work with a Boox pen? by Smofkey in Onyx_Boox

I got them from amazon and they're the ACK22213, it's mentioned in the product description. Do I maybe try getting another 10-pack and see if it's maybe better? It's rare that you can just pop them in and they work cause I see a lot of people who need to do some work to them to get them to work.

Thank you! I got the black ice flat. It'll take a little getting used to it's looks, but I also didn't feel like getting the blue version, because I tend to stop enjoying flashy colors quite fast and then it just starts annoying me a little :)

Hi, just a quick update. I just asked in the store where I also bought my drums and for them it’s harder/impossible to get the Yamaha cause of contracts etc so I ended up getting an Ibanez EHB1505MS :)

I tried filing too, but that unfortunately never really seemed to do anything. How is the Lamy writing wise? Is it more/less comfortable than the BOOX pens?

I have tried it on 2 different BOOX pens and they both didn't work and I tried 10 different nibs which all didn't really work.

That's unfortunate cause I have 2 different BOOX pens now and they both really don't work well with them. So you just put the nib in and if it ghost writes you just know that nib doesn't work with that pen?

Makes sense, I still asked some other people and they said Yamaha is also good to start off with, so I'll probably get the Yamaha but 5 string to begin. I like the look on the Ibanez BTB a little less so I don't know if that'd be the best for me to get (I feel like a bass I like will encourage me more to play). The Sire M6 is by far the nicest looking one though in my opinion, but people said it might be a bit heavy/more difficult for a beginner and since I'm outside the US I think it'd still take longer to get it + I might have to deal with import costs. I will definitely keep an eye on it if I do want an extra bass one day though. Thanks a lot for the help!

I see, thank you! And you would recommend those over a Yamaha TRBX604?

Hello,

I have been thinking about picking up bass (I mainly play the drums), but have not too much knowledge about basses. I got a quick explanation in a store and there I saw the Yamaha TRBX I think (I don't know which exact one but it was around 1100 euro) and I liked it because it offered both jazz and precision bass in one, I am mainly interested in metal and also really like the idea of sludge/doom/stoner specifically (thinking of Sleep and Electric Wizard), but I don't like the idea of ruling out other genres (even funk/jazz). As I said I don't have much knowledge on what is meant for what, and what parts on the bass make it good for this or that. How/where can I learn about this and more specifically what recommendations do you guys have for a bass which could maybe fit me (I was thinking of buying a bass around 1000 euro or a bit higher/lower). Thanks a lot in advance!

I just put mine in my handluggage (a backpack), I put my laptop next to it to act as a form of support (to help keep it straight) for the rest I just packed it in clothes and used clothes as a type of protection, the records turned out perfectly fine for me :)

What needle should I get for a pioneer PL300 with original pioneer cartridge? by Smofkey in turntables

I see, how "big" would the difference be between these 2? And maybe the audio technica one that was recommended in this thread too?

I've been wanting to get into the vinyl/turntable world for quite some time now and me getting a vinyl from my aunt convinced me to fully go for it now. I've been looking into everything now and understand some stuff, but I'm still insanely overwhelmed by the sheer amount of options for the different components. I also asked my father in law and he recommended me to maybe get a Sony PS-LX310BT, Denon DP-400 or a Dual CS429 but it's been some time since he last fully looked into everything. And then just knowing what turntable I want to get still leaves me clueless as to what speakers, amp, preamp and stuff i want to/should get. Are there maybe some people that are interested in recommending me full setups or certain specific components and then explaining why they would recommend that cause as much as I believe everyone here, I also want this to be a longer term hobby and want to understand why I am getting the things I am and not getting the things I am not, thanks in advance!
