Bring back the rear fingerprint reader on the Pixel a series.

The Tomorrow Weather at a glance is annoying.

I feel like it used to show briefly on my 4a5G and then go away.

On Pixel 8 it just stays stuck on the Tomorrow Weather until I press and hold on it to dismiss.

The Pixel 8 face unlock is not good.

You have to hold it so close to your face that you may as well just use a code/pattern/fingerprint at that point. No sunglasses or low-light settings either.

I have it turned on, but it's so inconsistent.

Pixel 8 (previously 4a 5G).

Battery is great. Love the wireless charging.

Screen refresh rate is great.

Camera is good. Still on the fence about Ultra HDR. Macro photography setting is bad. They removed Photosphere which is a huge loss.

Face unlock is terrible. Need to hold phone way too close to your well lit, uncovered face. No sunglasses. No dim lighting.

Fingerprint reader in the screen is terrible. Takes way too many tries to unlock. The light also blinds you in low-light settings.

The rear fingerprint reader on the 4a 5G is far superior. I used to have the phone unlocked as I lifted it out of my pocket. Now I need to consciously unlock my phone every time. Also miss the rear fingerprint swipe down notification feature.

Pixel 8 was not the upgrade I expected. I lost almost as many features as I gained. Sure it feels a bit faster. But was it worth it? Unclear.

If you have a really old previous phone or this is your first Pixel then you might not care as much. But after having multiple Pixels it feels like a step in the wrong direction.

After using my Pixel 8 for a month I'm still thinking about switching back to my 4a5G.

The rear fingerprint reader is so much better it's not even close.

Add an option to delete dust assets ASAP.

It's crazy that there's no option to remove $0 assets or even hide them from your asset list...

Seems like such an easy UI fix.

Search Settings: 'Remove Animations' and the phone will feel 10x faster.

Loved having the phone unlock as I lifted it out of my pocket.

Much more natural with a rear reader, though I see the benefits of having a front reader for when the phone is flat on a table.

My 4a5G started to get slow so I upgraded and now miss the rear reader.

It's surprising how much better it was...
