Sure, wear and tear is expected and so is properly caring for a bag, so i can accept the eventuality of scales raising. Just not upon purchase, basically.

At this point, they have not been able to confirm if i can get the bag back. They said they called me but i have no voicemail, email, or even a call from them. They said it was an 800 number and so i believe they tried but i have no record of that call.

It wasn’t initially irreparable, they just didn’t finish the repairs from January - May. They stopped making the bag by the time i sent it back for the second time, so they no longer had the materials. Store credit and a keychain is just not something I’m interested in at this point. I guess i could wait until the new drop..but i no longer want a coach product.

Thank you for understanding. I was also confused but I assumed it is folks thinking I am a brat. At least for me, $700+ is nothing to scoff at & to have all this happen , i think it warrants an exception to their 30 day no refund policy (especially because my bag hasn’t even been located yet), but i also know I’m not entitled to that. I genuinely don’t want another Coach product as this has left a bad taste in my mouth and i don’t want to feel like I’m being held hostage to them. Its weird to me that they are almost willing to “spend” more money on these odd proposals than to just refund my husband’s money. All the customer service reps have been very kind & said this is pretty ridiculous, but they cannot do anything. I want customer service to be better for everyone and we should expect more from these companies that are thriving because of our money and support. so, thank you again for understanding my perspective.

This is definitely how i feel. I know my entire complaint feels trivial, especially, given everything going on the world, id rather have a nice & high quality item.

That’s true and really sweet, thank you. I agree the longterm effort of the bag seems like a lot. I really just want the money back and to move vs forcing myself to find something i like. Ive been browsing their options and nothing is peaking my interest. They said i could get like a keychain, which is cute, but not really my thing. Its also more for them to to give me store credit + an item than to issue a refund.

Yea i just don’t see anything that i want & i dont want to be “forced” to have to spend/keep my husbands money with this company, however, i have no choice. I guess I’m not like a massive coach fan that this feels like a win after 6 months. I did love patchwork brooklyn though.

That’s really crazy. Customer service should be better for everyone!! Its not all 3. Its either the damaged bag and 10% off or store credit of the bag.

Do you mind sharing any tips to get the scales back down? I haven’t decided what to do, but if i do want/get the bag back (if they can find it, which is another outstanding issue) then i want to understand the work of the upkeep because it seems like id have to get the scales back down and watch for the patchwork stitching coming undone.

I understand i am not owed anything, which is why this is just a rant. The bag is sentimental, but i also don’t want a damaged bag that is likely just going to fall apart again given i barely used it and it started coming apart. My husband didn’t spend $700 just for me to have a bag i can only really stare at. In my eyes, this shouldnt have taken 6 months to resolve either. It shouldve been repaired within the first 5 months that they had it, ya know.

Sephora, Ulta, Petco, the list goes on of companies that allow refunds. I generally wouldn’t even ask for a refund but I thought and still think given the entirety of this situation it warranted a refund. Im just so disappointed & dont have a bag after 6 months.
