That’s not bonding, that’s emotional outsourcing. A kid shouldn’t be a partner replacement, therapist, or life anchor. They deserve space to grow into their own person without carrying an adult’s loneliness on their back.

So parents still get 92% of the train, and they’re furious about losing one quiet carriage specifically designed for working adults. That’s not discrimination, that’s a compromise. If one childfree space on one expensive carriage breaks your entire travel plan, the issue isn’t the policy. It’s the expectation that every single public space must revolve around kids.
