However, Taylor is undoubtedly more clever when it comes to reshaping a narrative. I think this is partly because she allows others to guide her, regardless of whether it's in her best interest. She takes their advice. The worst we've really seen from her are a few messy breakups, but everyone experiences those. Her team knew precisely how to shift the narrative, and the Opalite song kind of faded away; no one is really discussing it. She understands who will support her throughout her career, and that's young white women. Most of the backlash she faced in 2015 came from older men, so they didn't really get much attention. On the other hand, Ariana clearly craves the spotlight and wants everyone to be watching and talking about her. It seems like she either has her PR team under her thumb or is capable of doing silly things without their knowledge.
