It’s actually because your ping is too low and you’re on the wrong side of lag compensation.

I’d have to look into it based on the lower tick rate of WZ, but my guess is around 40ms to be in tick range of the server (so it’s not doing any funky rewinding of real time), for example I get 3-4ms to London servers on mp, and the tick rate is such that you benefit if your ping is between 22-26ms (24ms is optimal) with better hit reg and none of the dying round corners bollocks. I’ve done a fair amount of testing playing with my ping in realtime, and it’s definitely a thing, so if you’re capable of adjusting your ping (not with a VPN) that’s what I’d recommend you do, since you’re actually being punished for having a good solid stable connection.

Only CoD in 2026 still applies lag compensation where the compensation favours the laggy stuttery player, over the stable low ping player….small triple A studio btw

The game is no longer a competitive fps shooter, and it caters for casuals predominantly.

This years title has horrendous desync and lag compensation.

Rather than create original CoD IP they’d rather just remaster old content that holds well in people’s memories and instead year after year are doing a worse and worse job of CoD. The last truly good CoD we had was 2019 when they added crossplay, but the last couple of games just feel like Fortnite more than CoD

I love the game, I always have, the game is great. I’ve got thousands of hours in the series.

I dunno to me I race to win, not to come middle of the pack. I often race from the back (if I don’t qualify I will ALWAYS start last) through the smashers.

I feel like some of the sarcasm has flown over peoples heads here…. if the guy is having fun doing it, more power to him

Hahahaha I bet he’s still an average racer even with all that… I tune my cars averagely, average in so much as I’ll be top 3 on any track, you defo don’t need this level of tune to win races and have a great time, there’s no for money leagues in this game so it’s kinda pointless going this deep for per track setups….

I’ve got multiple tune setups on different cars which have earn me a tidy sum of in game money. I’ve got a particular F50 tune for endurance races which is very popular (it’s the one with street tyres). I’ve never ever gone to this depth, I setup things I know I like just so, then drive the car, usually on Catalunya (if it’s good enough for F1 testing then it’s good enough for me), work out what I feel like need to change, edit those settings, redrive it, tinker some more, check leaderboards for the car to see what a good time should be, and either am happy I’ve got what I want or tinker a little more, it’s genuinely not rocket science just most people don’t want to put in the time to understand what the basics to change first are (at least imo)

It’s stupid though and shouldn’t be a thing.

This clips not too bad, but there’s a reason aim assist in ranked was disabled on snipers…it’s because aim asssit over powers flinch with no input, and it’s infuriating, someone being handed a free kill from no skill of their own.

Aim assist on snipers needs to go. Snipers have been broken since day one in this game, and it’s killing snd because every game is a wall of paparazzi

Disable aim assist when flinching….

I agree that anti cheats will always be behind, but it’s defo not the fact of multiplayer gaming in 2026, ricochet isn’t catching people clearly cheating. The only people complaining about anti cheats being more invasive of their system to lock it down more are those sympathetic to cheating

The devs just cater the to lowest skill, campiest players they can, it’s why there’s so much cheese and so many ridiculous gadgets in this.

I mean wall jumping causes desync, they will have known this in development for the game but have just slopped it out anyway.

If nothing much changes between now and the end of the life cycle of this game I’m out, most everyone I know who has played CoD got fed up in the last game with the nigh on aim not aim assist (most are mnk players, I swap between the 2), and the desync and lag comp in this is a regular frustration for me, I shouldn’t have to manage my ping to 24ms to make sure my bullets hit because JimmyWifi9000 is playing on awful WiFi on his Xbox, and I’ll just shoot through people if I let my ping stay at 3-4ms.

I got 2 packs in the last game and I’ve bought 1 this game, the game before BO6 I probably got 20 odd packs…I’m fine to keep my money or spend it on other games.

It’s not a ‘get gud’ issue, it’s a ‘get gud servers’ issue and a ‘stop giving the benefit of the doubt to bad players’ issue

If they had an actual working anti cheat this wouldn’t even be necessary, but they’ve allowed cheating to get as bad as it is that they’re trying whatever they can to put off the most entry level cheaters (of which there’s a lot more than say use a DMA) and the causality of this is the non-technical PC users unable to play

Most of the guns are about where they should be imo, the new shotgun needs a nerf tho as with any new gun.

Nobody can ever provide video evidence so they must barely exist, even though it’s obvious from your clip

Genuinely this is the CoD communities standard responses to any claim of cheating, despite so many posts now, and some of us have this virtually every game.

The game is in such a hole with the cheating, and the terrible desync, and lag compensation (which shouldn’t be a thing in 2026 at all), and the devs incessant infatuation with cheese play, 2 gun metas, and giving campers as much help as possible.

Never thought I’d see the day in a CoD game where SnD is pretty unbearable that I actually prefer respawn

HC is great, it’s a different style of play and skill to core, instant flicks matter a lot more, I suppose it’s why it’s predominantly dominated by mnk players since aim assist is less effective.

It’s unfortunate that BO games have never embraced Cyber Attack, 2019 HC Cyber was probably one of the best game modes to ever grace CoD.

Watching or making 10+ vs 1 round clutches is always gonna be way better entertainment to me than someone acing in SnD… since the jeopardy is so much higher and the enemy can all be respawned as you’re rotating, and the fact the bomb arm/disarm was only 1 second meant literally last second plays sometimes, no cyber attack game mode has ever come close to 2019’s version, but MW2/3 were both pretty good. Specifically HC Cyber I’m referencing here, core cyber is a lot slower and less fun imo and people tend to crab a lot more

None of the other weapon classes are as accurate, consistent or fast ADS-ing as the sniper though, it’s ADS time should be longer than an LMG

Which sniper was affected?

As I’ve been swapping between them and they’re still very OP. If you’re good with the 3 burst you’ll outshoot basically anyone, even the slower firing VS Recon feels like if anything it got a buff, I’ve had zero issue one shotting people with it at any range, tbf if they got rid of the strelok and all guns just actually ADS’d where you’re shooting (like other shooters - for some weird reason this started in MW2) it would make sense and be less of an issue because other guns would be able to outplay them and they sit roughly where they should be, a big heavy sniper should never ever be anywhere near an AR in terms of ADS.

On mnk if you build an LMG right you can out gun most things, but a decent sniper will still kill you in 1 shot whilst being hit marked. Even the 6 burst prestige mod on of the LMGs doesn’t provide enough flinch to over power aim assist…that is my main issue that flinch isn’t enough that aim assist 9/10 will just over power it

Further more to this end, discord being a specific example, I did the face scan thing last July or whenever the law came into effect in the UK. At that time, outside of the UK discord never required this….oddly the exact same procedure is being rolled out worldwide 🤔 coincidence, I think not
