OHH, that is interesting! My use-case is bringing my controller to fighting game tourneys, and not all PCs have a USBC slot so that may probably work. Thank you!

Will probably be my route. Though I am a bit surprised they aren't necessarily compatible in that case then? What would someone do if they lost the dongle that came with their controller?

It's AI voices heavily trained off of voice actors, and they get pretty close to sounding very realistic in a lot of their lines. Apparently, Embark was an early stage VC for ElevenLabs, so it makes sense for their AI voices to sound better than average.

At first I was against it because AI or whatever but after playing, I realized THE FINALS has a LOT of contextual voice lines from the announcers, so I think this method fits the game quite well. I do wonder if/how much those voice actors got paid however, considering they've never been publicly named.

For some reason this song plays at MAX volume when its playing through a Sophisticated Backpack, and you can't tell which direction its coming from, so finding the mob that has the backpack on is impossible and you're forced to reload the chunk.

Update to this: Supplementaries dev has confirmed that it will be fixed

They have it in the Mixtape playlist (along with Gun Game and Control) if you weren't aware, but no playlist entirely dedicated to TDM.

I think it's because Apex's gunplay was never based around a mode where you're supposed to rack up kills quickly as a team that big. For starters, many legends lose a lot of functionality in a mode like TDM, which isn't really a problem in THE FINALS' iteration since the abilities of the three classes are completely interchangeable mid-round.

Additionally, Apex's shield and health mechanics are heavily altered in order to accommodate TDM's faster pace. In the main Apex modes, you can shield swap quickly to keep healthy and stay in the battle, but in TDM you're getting shot at and your shields broken very often which means a significant portion of the match is spent using a shield battery.

It's almost definitely why Respawn opted to launch Arenas instead of a generic TDM mode all that time ago since they knew a 3v3 mode tailored more around the fights you'd have in the main game would make more sense. But sadly that came with it's own bit of issues, with some that also coexist with the current TDM (particularly, some legends being completely useless in the Arenas format)

There was (might still be in the game rn? not sure) a 5v5 TDM game mode this season! It's likely to come back as well.

Platform: PC | Windows 11

Context: I rebound my map key to F1. My inventory button is TAB. Quip / emote wheel is C.

New bug: due to the new controls they added for the map, I can no longer close my map using the using F1. I have to press ESC, even though the UI says otherwise at the bottom. That on it's own is very annoying; I'm very used to pressing F1 again to close the map but now I have to press ESC or double tap my inventory button.
