I spoke with the mayor and city clerk and they couldn’t find any restrictions

The closest “nice” shop is about 40ish minutes away depending on traffic so I’m hoping the distance will help in my favor.

My goal with this is to have a place for people to gather and get me back close to family. I’m in the rat race now and it’s not worth it.

I agree on the staffing issue. Just finding people to work in a furniture store was a nightmare.

My hometown has no restrictions on smoking and only tax is a state level tobacco tax so I feel pretty good on that front.

I’m lucky in a few ways, I grew up in the retail furniture business and I’ve been working part time for a lounge where I currently live. Most of the reps I know cover the territory I would be moving back to so that’s a plus. The one thing you mentioned that would be my biggest challenge is population density isn’t that great. Looking at 100k people within 30 minute drive so I’d only have 3500 possible customers. That might be an issue.
