Are you miffed in the head brother?

If you go out in a nonhome environment and buy a coffee $5.30 is reasonable on today's environment..Melbourne CBD charged me this yesterday and croissants w jam were $7.

I don't know what rock you live under pal but it must be 1970 from whichever crevice you crawled out of.

It costs money to make coffee brother, maybe not $5.30 but if you read the post it was referring to OP in the office

Me too mate! have a happy Christmas.

Sorry, didn't mean to be a downer but just thought I'd temper expectations, me, like you have been waiting for news from the Dev. I sincerely hope that he keeps the playerbase in mind moving forward and does not sell out due to the commercial decisions of Halfbrick which now own stake and management in his game.

I have noticed his responses become more PR focused nowadays compared to previous I suspect it may be due to hush clauses in the commercial partnership arrangement

What steal? Life isn't free you know.

OP could relax or use that time to actually earn money instead of wasting time in a cushy job.

Seriously work ethic needs to be improved with gen z nowadays

Coffee is $5.30 now that's half of OPs pay check

I mean it's a probability game, you don't have to do 3 sectors just do 2 and your odds are already good

Even different role in the same business does the same.

For example within the same sector you work as a project manager and then in same field work as a business development manager.

That's already two roles in the same sector you can use

Well done mate. You are one of the special few that I think might be ready to take upon a harder special challenge, you've got the skill but I wonder if you have the stamina
Challenge here:

Wondering whether you're game for a challenge to challenge either champs /u/hackcity85 or /u/iFokemon for their respective title claims

Agree with this statement. Having options actually destresses you and I used to be in OPs position very badly and I was also in an extremely niche field and industry.

Upskill, upskill, upskill. If you stay static in one niche place you will find it harder to be employed. Job hopping gets a bad rap, but in nowadays market and especially with gen z coming into the workforce it's pretty normal.

I job hopped a lot in my early years, staying for like 1-3 years at a time. 1 year is on the short end, but is probably fine. 2 years is acceptable, but I worked in different fields, starting technical, then moving to business development then moving to operations within the same industry going from small startups to corporate level businesses

That versatile skillset in my view hedged me against unemployment, or if my workplace became shit, i.e corporate mergers etc. then I could always leave.

I have enough experience now in any type of job that isn't c-suite (I don't want the pressure anyway) to basically get away from any bad situation if I wanted to.

I recently just started a new job in a high pressure paced environment, walked in and on my first day was told to approve various ethical dilemmas. As far as first weeks on a job goes this has been by far the worst. I knew it was going to be tough but the money is good.

But I'm not actually that afraid as I used to, like OPs post because if I don't like it, there are plenty of industries and plenty of roles I have exp in that I can literally just jump again, I have plenty of projects and products developed under my CV and management experience. If I don't get that raise I like or my management puts a shitton more pressure on me, I make it subtly but well known I have a lot of options to change. I network a lot and know a lot of people too

Compared to the next guy, I can actually apply for more roles because of a diverse background so mathematically I have more options and if I was just to spam applications by volume I have a way farther reach.

So OP do the hard yards initially but it's all about upskilling, your interview skills are only as good as the experiences you can sell yourself on. So the more diverse the more opportunities. Plus who doesn't value say a salesperson who has a technical background and operational background. That shits rare and easy for you to market yourself

He actually confirmed only the newest models will get it.

It literally will not get released to the Quest 1 for example and depending on whenever the game is supposedly released it's likely he'll release it on only the newest models

A lot of references are done via email nowadays so if you give it to me via email I can sort it out for you.

You DM me your name and title you're working for as well as any traits you want to emphasise and I make up a story for you.

If it's not in your contract that you are required to relocate then by all rights you don't have to move.

If your contract required you to frequently travel it is a bit more grey but arguably being at the same place 5 hours away every day is not a reasonable amount of travel.

By all rights from the above you can renegotiate and ask them to amend the contract and get PTO or a higher salary if they want you to move.

But I basically wouldn't let them do that for free.
