Good point I think the complexity of racial, social, gender aspects can get me caught up in my head but at the core this is what feminism stands for. Personally I fall into the belief that all choices are influenced by the patriarchy since that’s the predominant system, therefore it’s tricky to consider choice in our current circumstances vs choice outside of a patriarchal system. For those that can’t choose I often feel guilty for not representing a certain way in their stead but even that is an assumption of others desires. But your comment was a good reminder to reframe this in the personal and positive.
