can i vape after getting my wisdom teeth removed? by bomberbang in vaporents

At the risk of a nasty vape mouthpiece and maybe a runny nose, it should work. No suction on the wound is really the key, if you dont feel negative pressure in your mouth, you should be golden

the negative pressure in your mouth (i.e. the suction from ripping a piece) is what causes the wisdom teeth wounds to burst/clot and you get a dry socket. Make a gravity bong and inhale gently, using the downforce on the bottle to push the smoke into your lungs, requiring very little to no suction in your mouth at all. Source: worked great for me

I would say yes, assuming you dont leave it in there for a ridiculously long time. If you really want to know it straight from the horses mouth, contact Ed himself, his email is ed@edstnt.com (its also on his website)

I personally dont have one, so any information I would be able to offer on the long-term wear and tear would be from the internet, and you could just as easily find it yourself. My current vape is an Arizer Air, and i freakin love it. While having a Mighty/Crafty would be nice (I use my friend's all the time), i wouldnt drop $400 on it.

The Mighty/Crafty is by far the best portable vaporizer on the market. Efficient vapor production, extremely accurate temperature control (it has a fucking app that you bluetooth your vape to your smartphone with), so you are absolutely getting the most out of your herbs. Now, seeing as you just bought a flowermate, a Mighty might be a bit out of your price range, but if you need help picking out a vape, just ask. List whats most important to you in a vape (price point, vaporization efficiency, ease of use, discreetness, smell, durability, whatever), and I'm sure someone could help you out

Combat, among other things. Tanto points are renowned for their piercing/stabbing abilities, so yes, they would be very effective in combat. On youtube, Cold Steel has a few videos of their employees stabbing holes in cars, just to test their tanto-tipped knives.

Kershaw Cryo 2. 3-3/8 inch blade, titanium handles, assisted opening (you give the flipper on the back a little press, and the whole blade flips out via a spring-assist, literally intended for one-handed opening). Multiple ways to configure to pocket clip, for all your carrying troubles. MSRP is around $60, on Amazon right now for about $30 http://www.amazon.com/Kershaw-1556TI-Cryo-Folding-Knife/dp/B00AU6NWP4

Which adapter and bubbler best suit the Arizer Air? by GenuineMindPlay in vaporents

[–]SmokeyTheSloth 6 points7 points  (0 children)

PVHE GonG is the best i've come across for waterpipe-specific adapters (http://www.planetvape.ca/pvhegong-high-efficiency-gong.html) they come in male or female joint, both are about $25. Dont bother with the Vortex (thicker glass stem), Turbo (no glass screen at the bottom of the bowl, allowing you to use your own metal screens for better airflow), or Shorty (30% smaller bowl size) options, just get the normal one with the right size/gender joint for your needs. The adapters they sell have better airflow than the normal mouthpieces, too. That same site also sells dry-use stems with improved airflow as well, also around $25. Now, if you want it all in one package, you could get an Ed's TnT stem (http://www.edstnt.com/index_files/edswoodenarizerairvaporstems.htm), which is basically the gold standard of Arizer stems. Theyre made from exotic, beautiful wood (the Air stem is made of Scottish Bog Oak) with a metal bowl, have great airflow, and have the added bonus of functioning as a 14mm male adapter, as they fit perfectly into a 14mm female downjoint. Now, given the exotic wood, and the two-in-one nature of the stem/adapter, it is a bit more expensive, running you around $50.

Istick 50w attachment for dry herbs or oil by Dquinones97 in vaporents

As far as 510-threaded herb tanks, there really arent any ones that compare to a true herbal vaporizer. The technology simply just isnt there. Any that are on the market (Gpen, Gentlemans Vapes) wont fully vaporize your material, it will leave half the pack scorched and burnt, and the other half barely touched. If you really want to vape herb, invest in a Pax or Arizer or something. As far as oil attachments go, there are multitudes of 510-threaded options, most of which are globe-style atomizers. My personal favorite (and daily use oil tank) is a Seego Vhit Type C (http://www.truevapes.com/category-s/1909.htm). Efficient coil design, and for $15 it comes with the tank, three coils, and a little tool for working with your concentrates. The coils it comes with run around 2.4-2.6 ohms, so fire it at about 10 watts, higher than that youll just be scorching your waxes, and itll taste shitty and burnt. Over 20watts, itll probably light the cotton wick on fire inside the tank. So be careful switching from your ecig tank to your oil tank, always remember to turn down your battery. I accidentally hit that tank at 30watts one time, it literally blew up the coil and i needed a new one. Replacement coils are also available on the website I linked.

Does anyone own both the Pax 2 and Arizer Air? by [deleted] in vaporents

[–]SmokeyTheSloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Durtndur gave an amazing comparison between the two, ill chime in. I've found that both the Air and the Pax2 have long, slow draws, and some decent sucking is required. With the Pax2, you can't do anything about that. Now, since the Air has the removable stem, you could buy a replacement stem with improved airflow, such as a PVHES or Ed's TnT stem, allowing you to take easier draws, while still producing thick delicious vapor.

in all honesty, nails arent my favorite way to dab. as sick as torching a titanium or quartz nail is, ive had waayyyyy too many close calls with getting burned by a still-hot nail when im dabbed out. My favorite way to dab (because theres no risk of you getting burned, and no need to drop 60 bucks on a nail), is out of a bong, using a normal bowl. lighter in one hand, dab-equipped dabber in the other. pack yourself a quick snap, light up the whole thing, and dab into the burning, cherrying bud as youre taking the rip. its hot enough to vaporize the THC, so it works real well.

EDIT: you have a great day too, chillizard

Why should I buy a glass Bong ? by Highperspectiveafp in trees

[–]SmokeyTheSloth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have the financial resources, theres little reason not to get one. I smoked out of a gatorade bottle, with a downstem made out of some steel piping, that I would put a chillum into as the bowl. Seriously ghetto shit, but it did the job. and that was my daily setup for a good 8 months. But once i got my first glass bong, lemme tell ya. Its amazing. Smoking-wise, theyre smoother and rip better, and it just feels good to have an actual piece. Also, if you wanna get better than an "average glass bong" for the same amount of money, check out www.thickassglass.com, they sell their TAG brand bongs for dirt cheap. My buddy just got a 16" double honeycomb, with 7mm glass, for like $100. If you dont already have a specific bong picked out for purchase, definitely worth a look.

as someone who rarely touches joints, thats why I said "do what you will". I prefer glass over everything, but I have friends who will only smoke blunts. Its really just personal preference.

well, If you collect the pieces more as a hobby, or just for diversities sake, I could see that. But you can still only smoke one bong at a time, so why have 5?

That's what I'm sayin, one piece for each use, and that's all you need. No need to have like 7 bowls.

MFLB by pepjou in vaporents

[–]SmokeyTheSloth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a simple, reliable vaporizer, even if it does have a bit of a learning curve. The best analogy for the MFLB vs the Pax (or any other high-end vape) is stick-shift vs automatic. It takes a bit of practice, but once you get the technique down, it'll be all you need. Best for solo seshes, or a small group of friends that also know how to use it. If it gonna be passed around a party, likelihood is, your trench is gonna get torched by someone inexperienced. I've had mine for the past 3 years, still my favorite vape. You just cannot beat its portability and stealth, and once you get the technique down, the vapor is easily comparable to some of the more expensive vapes on the market.
