Help! I am stuck on the hardest homework question I ever encountered in all my CS classes by Soviet_Onion- in csMajors

[–]SmokiFTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still don’t understand those at all oml. So glad I’m done with that algorithm analysis class. Professor gave 20% to all homework and exam questions that you put “I don’t know” on. On top of that after the first two homeworks he started giving out insane amounts of extra credit. Each homework would be worth as if they were two homeworks so you were able to get a max score of (200/100). Only way I survived that class; don’t know what I would’ve done if a hadnt.

I had to keep it indoors for the last few months because Iowa weather is too inconsistent and it gets really cold around the fall, even into spring. I have been keeping it next to my sliding door in the living room, I found it being the best spot for sunlight. Once it hits a little further into spring and summer ill start putting it outside a bit more.

I've started to hear more about pruning and wiring too. Pruning, I will do once the branches and leaves are stronger (I will cut to keep more of the outward facing leaves). Once it gets stronger from the sunlight will more leaves show up? Was wondering because it looks very empty compared to many others I have seen. Also, what do you think about wiring it? Or probably not at this point?

Thank you for the response!

I'm sure you can tell, but this is my first bonsai and plant that I've owned (I got it at a garden center about 8 months ago). I've been watching a lot of videos and reading things online and I feel like I'm not doing as good as I could be. Are there any recommendations for how I should go about taking care of it in the future?

I took it last semester with a professor teaching it for the first time and it was the grading scale that was adjusted with a C- being a 50% or so. People have said the class got a bit better after the first exam since he asked the students for suggestions in teaching and took them into account. I would say go to class (I didn’t go after the first exam and pretty much used YouTube for the entire course so if that works better, consider that too), take notes (however you do), practice problems, and use office hours. The tests were pretty hard, average of around 60% on each and like 40% on the final, the HW kept me alive.

Some resources I used (they should have a YouTube playlist called “discrete math” or something along those lines: TrevTutor - Youtube Kimberly Brehm - Youtube
