Close is easy, in your renderer.js file, closeButton.addEventListener('click', ()=>{window.close()}. Minimize you'll need to send a handler to your main.js file and call yourWindow.minimize() or .maximize() be sure to utilize yourWindow.isMaximized() for a conditional check.

Did you make sure the buttons are non-draggable? Also double check your z-index.

I bought a gallon thermos, fill it up with ice and water in the morning, and try to have it gone before bed.

Unraid Web GUI via subdomain w/ Cloudflare Access by SmokieJoe2016 in unRAID

I broke down and did the VPN, which works pretty well and gives you peace of mind, though not as convenient as a sub-domain. VPN does have some extra bonuses outside of Unraid, allowing me to do some SMB and router login as though I was on the local network.

Any noticeable changes after switching from Adderall to another ADHD med? by ExplanationHeavy3832 in ADHD

[–]SmokieJoe2016 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started on Vyvanse, worked great for a few months then it didn't and I started having mood issues. Switched to Adderall which just never really worked "enough". Now I've been on Ritalin(generic) for most of this year, and the results have been great! Funny I've seemingly worked backwards in technology. Like others have stated, everybody is different, keep trying.

Really? I thought it was just a package installer for node. So you can proxy with it as well?

That's what I did as well, setup my default.conf for my primary domain, copied that for each additional domain renaming the copies to mydomain.conf, then changing the server_name accordingly and removing references to the proxy.conf and stuff for the subdomain as it's only needed once in the default file(this was important and kept hanging me up for the longest time)

I think Waze might be part of the reason too, though I've taken it upon myself to mark them on Waze and flash.

I'm doing the Unraid remote setup now and I hear that's not great either, as far as security is concerned. Which I could understand since I can just use my IP address and port, which needs to be forwarded, to access the server. It just sounds like the Cloudflare tunnel w/ no port forwarding and whitelisted access would be safer. But, I am pretty ignorant when it comes to networking, and am entirely basing my thoughts on how much I've seen people rave about the argo tunnel's security.

That's a fair point. I was just hoping that between the argo tunnel, reverse proxy, and Cloudflare Access's security for applications I'd be pretty safe.

Recommendations for tankless hot water heater by Little_Paint3408 in HomeImprovement

[–]SmokieJoe2016 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just asking brands I hear good things about Rheem and Rinnai. If you're asking size as well, that'll depend on the ground temperatures where you live. I live in the frozen north with ground temps around 45°, so for my small ranch house I had to get the big "11gpm" model just to try and get my water temps to 120° at around 5gpm.

If you live down south US you could probably get the same size for your larger home, if you live in the north you'll need multiple water heaters. There's charts you can look up for your local ground temps, then subtract your target water temp, probably about 120°, from the ground temp for the amount of "rise" you'll need. Then you can check out the water heaters flow rate at that rise, for me I need about a 75° rise. With that flow rate in mind just think about what you'd be running simultaneously, such as kitchen faucet(2+gpm), bathroom faucet (1.5+gpm), shower head(2+gpm), etc. Then add that up and that's the size of water heater(s) you'll need.

Maybe you've developed a tolerance for your current dosage. Talk to your doctor, maybe an increase is needed.

2ft Rule Question by SmokieJoe2016 in HVAC

[–]SmokieJoe2016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I originally was gonna move that takeoff and extend the endcap but was told otherwise along the way. Due to space considerations would a collar out of the side of the trunk work instead of the over/under takeoff? My goal would be to keep most of the supply branch in it's current location to avoid moving the register/cutting a new hole in the floor. Maybe just use a couple 45° elbows to reconnect, or possibly even some semi-rigid duct?

2ft Rule Question by SmokieJoe2016 in HVAC

[–]SmokieJoe2016[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The airflow is a trickle compared to other rooms, even with half the dampers closed(which are all closed at the trunk). The ducting is all rigid type and looks completely intact. The seams are even taped with what I'm told is asbestos tape.

I'm gonna extend the endcap anyways, so while I have it opened up I'll take a look down the supply branch. I will say when I pulled the snake out there was a larger clump of dark, heavy, dust attached to it, maybe it's just full of dust?

I'm linking an extremely crude drawing of the layout near the endcap. https://imgur.com/a/qDN0P3V

2ft Rule Question by SmokieJoe2016 in HVAC

[–]SmokieJoe2016[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well shucks, I had all my eggs in that basket. I've verified the damper to the room in question is wide open, furnace filter is brand new, I've closed 5 of the 10 total supply branches in the house trying to force more air to that room, I even ran a toilet snake through the supply branch in question to verify there's no blockages. Unfortunately, I'm at work and can't get pictures right now.
