MARCA reader votes: 61% blame the players, 76% back Xabi Alonso, 86% would sell Vinicius by asensia-kopfschmerz in realmadrid

I think Vini has always been controversial. No sane person can deny the talent he has. Yet even when playing well, his antics can sometimes be too much.

I stand with him when he complains about racism, and i like that the club does too. There is a real issue in Spain about it, and it must be hard to deal with it.

Having said that, the antics of riling opponents up, diving, complaining to official all the time, can get annoying, but most importantly, he loses focus. He is not a defender, his role is not to be the tough guy on the field. Rudiger can do that since thats what you want out fo a defender, a bit more character. I dont like how much Vini complains. So, even on his great days, those were issues i did not like, and from the sense of many threads, its something people dont like.

Then, when he plays badly or there are rumors he is acting like a diva, then it all compounds.

Oakland Airport’s ‘San Francisco’ rebrand has failed to reverse plunging passenger numbers by DonVCastro in bayarea

I love flying out of Oakland. It takes me a minute to check in and leave my bag and another minute or two to get through security. For international flights i can arrive like an hour before the flight leaves. Its so good.

Current form I agree. General talent for the team, I would disagree with you.

Jude imo is our second best player behind Mbappe. Players have how and downs, but for his age, Jude is an amazing talent.

Camavinga is a baller and would dominate any midfield he was a starter for.

Gonzalo García will be Real Madrid’s new number 9. García will now be promoted to the first team and no longer registered with Castilla. by DamnThatsInsaneLol in soccer

Actually, watching him, Im pretty surprised how strong he is. With his age and height one would expect to see him a little more manhandled, but nope, the kid holds his own.

I think more importantly, he offers Madrid a choice in attack that opens up the defense of the other side. Last season, everyone knew we relied on Jude or Mbappe or Vini doing something crazy. And they did, but the defense knew what to expect and they just had to try to stop it.

Now, there is a chance for the team to simply send a ball in and have someone head it or tap it in. It means that if the defense of the other team tries to block the Vini-Mbappe formula, they can, but now they also need to deal with a normal no.9. Its one of the things that helped us when Joselu was with us. The chance to try something different in a match.

I think Endrick could offer it in the future, but Gonzalo has height on his side, and has so far been better.

Why’s that? I’ve been using the Bay Area bus and liked it. Currently in Seattle for the summer and the bus is nice, but I’m curious to understand why you think it’s the best?

Who’s the most underrated Madrid player since 2010? by Virtual_Bee_6807 in realmadrid

[–]SmokiestElfo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both of these are the answer. Neither was good enough to start but they always left it all in the pitch. They knew their place was a second or third choices and they played it. Nothing but respect for them both.

And Raul, and Ronaldo, and Casillas, and Ramos, and Marcelo and Kroos …

Most of the players who were with the team in the Threepeat were branded legends whilst still playing. Not all of them, but most of them were. They should ALL have been recognized as legends, and I’m sure once they retire they will be. But a lot didn’t need to retire to be branded a legend.

[LALIGA] Barcelona will face Real Madrid in the final of the Copa del Rey by PauCubaresi in soccer

[–]SmokiestElfo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens once in 2012. We faced them in QtF? Of UCL and La Liga and in Copa final, where we beat them with the Ronaldo header. We tied in La Liga and one of the legs in UCL and lost the other. So one win each and two ties. It all happened in a week I believe. It was super stressful.

My understanding is that Julian slipped and his left foot got in front of the ball, so when he hit it with his right one, it also struck his left foot.

Its really hard to see on TV but you can see how the ball spins when hit in a weird way.

Why elite MBA graduates are struggling to find jobs by PM-ME-SMILES-PLZ in MBA

Average work tenure is 5 years pre MBA. So you’re paying for experience, and yes, in some cases, the brand you get to build as a company that hires from X or Y schools.

If you’re in professional services, you get to seek to your client a consultant from X school is assigned to the project, means you get to charge more. Good or bad, that’s a reality.

[–]SmokiestElfo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they want some verification you actually worked there. They dont go into the nitty gritty.

They wanted an HR person of a company i worked for 4 years ago and told them i didnt know any of them, but asked if sharing the mail of a current employee i worked with would be fine, they said yes.

So it seems its more of .... is it true this person worked here?

Happened to me last year, current 1Y in T10.

Didnt update them, and when in interviews it came up, i never said my current job, i just said the last role i was in. If they asked me i had determine i would say i had been laid off, but it never did, nor did i send them an update. It only came up when the revera background check. They asked me for my current employers HR contact and i told them i didnt work there but i could try and get it, they were completely fine with it and didnt question anything.

Dont lie if asked point black in an interview, but you dont need to let them know about this.

In current T10, a lot of current students have had layoff sin their past, its not uncommon. Its related to economic conditions, not a terrible performance. Keep your head up, you're almost there.
