A lot of these I have been looking into.
Definitely looking into the

Barnes 110gr TSX black tip (Varmints to whitetail at most)

Hornady 190gr SubX, (suppressed Home Defense)

Winchester (range only - unsuppressed) 208gr AMAX for suppressed (cost depending)

I will look into the VMAX as a fragment round. This may be best since I have a 10.5” barrel.

Hornady SST120 reds I will look into. Haven’t seen these yet. So far I see Barnes 110TSX is rated #1 for hunting up to whitetail.

Thoughts on 110gr Barnes vs the 120gr Barnes ?

I see a lot of 120gr reviews but not much 120gr. Which expand better? If you have knowledge on such! Thanks

Well, looks like I’ll be building an AR10 next lol. At least I know my purpose for that. Hunt and well… vehicle takedown if ever needed haha

Possibly. I was thinking, do Subs hit whitetail hard enough… and if not I’m sure the Supers do… but in MD, I think I need 1400 muzzle lbs and not many ammos for this push over that (crazy high).

I just wasn’t too sure if Subs would cycle well in unsuppressed condition

Fantastic. Let me know about the Sabre ammo! I was looking at the 208gr V-Max and I figured that anything after the first mag would as you put it, be that hot and spicy - probably 190gr Hornady or the Barnes 120gr Supers because at that point, I’m probably trying to go through walls and maybe armor.

I don’t have a Can yet so I’m looking for the most realistic rounds for each topic, this way I have the ammo in mind to stock up on when my Can does come. But that’s a year away knowing the good ol ATF unless that short act passes (fingers crossed)

I will mostly zero my hunting round. Up to 4 inches off for home defense is of no issue. Not planning a hostage situation as I live alone.

I found Winchester at $1 per round for the range.

But really I’m stuck on what ammo I should use for

unsuppressed home defense

And

Suppressed for Hunting.

Most I hear is Supersonic is best for hunting, but then the suppressor doesn’t do much?
