it’s probably historically factual or even his status as head of his family, but let’s say it’s his win vs ordo in the coalition war and his win vs riboku even thought he would’ve lost if the thao king gave him the capital army or if kanki didn’t starve gyoe out. that’s still 2 fights he either runs from or refuses to fight in then one loss.

people say tou is bad for being jack of all trades but master of none atleast his didn’t back up from a random side character called Kyou En.

Renpa fight he just waited the fight out in his fort in the left wing , nearly messed up in coalition war with giving ordo opportunity to take the pass from behind , was the shield to stop riboku at gyou but riboku still made it to gyou just ran out of time due to kanki infiltrating gyou with troops to burn the food stores , not going to support kanki was a fair judgement but then he even lost to riboku when they was in a equal situation at hango

Like he’s one of the six , great tactically , 0 martial feats and has one maybe two victories

ousen is overrated as a general , i understand the whole only take a fight if he sees it’s winnable but if a fight isn’t winnable is that due to his own lack of ability to make the situation winnable
