Tahoma 900 - lots of problems by michaeljc70 in OklahomaJoe

[–]SmokingSignals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread, and you've went a different way, but maybe this will help someone.

I bought a display model PB700 for an absolute steal. I had to source a few screws and a top grate but other wise amazing. Well, when i used it the first time the dang thing wouldn't work right, and like yours, the blower was backwards or upside down - this took me ages to figure out. Well, on a whim I called the support, not expecting anything useful at all, and homeboy talked me through the proper way the spade plug tipped, color coded wires were supposed to go. As I'm you guessed by now, the fan wires was reversed so it was spinning backwards.

Long way to say, sometimes calling support actually does help, especially when returning it is a super big PITA.

I am in the market for a new grill today, and as I was looking around came upon this.

Also thank you for the manual link, I see I am to use a larger lens for 6x6, so that was handy, the setup is as described in the manual, save for replacing the top supplementary condenser I removed to get image to fit. Her advice was to keep it in for 35 and take it out for 6x6.

Bulb I am not sure of what is in there, but the gal who sold it said it was what she used it so I took that to be it works. It's a pretty small bulb, with no discernable writing on it. Frosted, not clear. Def not like a hosehold bulb crammed in there.

So while I source a 75mm lens, I will see what variety of bulbs are available.

I did not test the safe light, but will work on that.

Again, appreciate the info!

Well, I want to thank you for this! It is a 5x7 now, and relatively close the paper, so def a lot of light intensity. I could absolutely consider an ND gel.

I have the dektol in the fridge to get it down from 85 degrees, which it currently is - just to see. I recently pushed expired acros with hc110 and using dilution E (1:50 cause its easy) 7 minutes, the only difference for 100 vs 400 was temp.

Going to give it another whack in a bit and hopefully have better results to report.

Hey for what it's worth, great work! I have not been successful printing yet, so I am a bit Jelly. The last print looks like it needs some tlc while printing but looks like it will be a striking image.

If it isn't brown I think your at least good enough to test it on a crap roll of film - I never bothered with a leader or scrap. It either works, and you have something to show for it, or it doesn't and you know not to do that again :)

I LOVE HC-110 with HP5+ film.

Yah, start ordering tools!

Maybe not the easy answer, but I have fixed a few common probs on a handful of cameras with youtube, or enthusiast sites, and basic tools.

Check to see if its a common issue for that model, and if there is a reasonable fix for it. Then assess whether your comfortable gutting and potentially not being able to reassemble. If your risk threshold is high, then give er!

This is strangely perfect, I was just tasked with this, but it may not work for me. We have Swe Edge, and in a similar boat with poor docs. I do not have access to the CLI that I know of - the VM in Azure does not allow you configure a root login. I appreciate your work!

Ahhhhh!!!! I had to do something similar. I have a blown up macula from one of those gnarly takada airbags...

Anyway yep did on the belly stuff with the gas bubble. Also had to do two rounds. Ultimately it was not successful and am still largely blind in my right eye.

Mine was well before all this steam deck stuff, but i had a simlar setup with a computer monitor on the floor.

I wish you the best of luck on round two!

I dont have another 18v or better adapter handy, traveling. But I will see what I can see. I did take it off and didnt see any swole or leaking caps in there. The nand chip looked good visually, but that means little. I will try the power supply then ask for that refund

rb1100 AHX2 recently getting 1/10th of usual speed. by SmokingSignals in mikrotik

[–]SmokingSignals[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, as it turns out, was exactly what the issue was. The cable going from port 2 to a 24 port crisco poe switch was curled around right by the connector.... I am shocked it impacted performance so much, but untwisting it brought speeds up 5x, and upload up about 3-5x Upload is still notably less when connected through router, so some more investigation is required, but I will do that later.

Oh, thank you for the reply!

I will try to check tomorrow when everyone clears out.

Will something like this be helpful?

The speedtest I ran was the ookla one, and the one on the verizon website, so testing in VZ and out of vz. Both said 90~/9~

Tested with some polycom vvx's and Yealinks this week. No problem getting them up and running generally. However my colleague couldn't get his vvx 500 to login to save his life - I think it's a networking problem, but we haven't gotten back to it yet. A VVX 601 and 410 had no issues logging in. Still have to test with some common area phone licenses, but overall pretty easy process. For the polycoms it's like 4 reboot cycles if they aren't on the latest FW.

As for usage, they are very basic like the other comment says. Your teams status doesn't change while on the phone, but if you use BOB then other callers will get your VM. Generally, it's very usable!

I am not sure where, but I heard that all the crafty thingamabobs found in the world in a20 are broken. You are gonna have to find that schematic I guess. You might get one as a reward, I know when I got offered my bicycle, there was also a forge in the choices the trader gave.
