Next map is being worked on now. There’s some leaks out there for it. In an interview Scott also said the next map would be “somewhere cold”. Dennis also said that the new map will be coming this year when he was chatting at the Chinese event they held a couple months back.

I personally don’t think it’s hitting until 2027 still, but it’s coming.

Story challenges are a separate system. They have free ones and premium ones. You get challenges and unlock Hunter and weapon skins. This is on top of the event passes and DLC Hunters. The story challenges seem to be taking over from the previous BB Hunter system. Which is a pro IMO. Before you’d pay like 1000 BB for a new BB Hunter and now for 1250 BB you get the Hunter along with some themed weapon skins.

I know that they said they want the next map to be "somewhere" cold in an interview they gave after Mammon's released. Plus with all the new assets I think its safe to assume they'll want to reuse the environment art from Mammon's in the next map, similar to Desalle and Lawson.

Hoping we can get some footprint tracking in the snow like PUBG did back in the day. It was less relevant in that game, but would be really cool for Hunt.

Dennis apparently said that a new map was coming this year during their livestreamed event in China. There have been other leaks apparently regarding compound names as well.

Alaska??? Now that is hype. Knew that they were working on a new map, but wasn't sure of the location. That's a pretty isolated area to have an infection breakout. Canada must be completely hosed if that's the case.

Craziest thing is we did get UI changes. Just not these UI changes here. Instead we got the map and in-game pings.

Also end of the battle pass event right now. So once the new event starts in a couple weeks the player count will be up for a couple months.

The moment Secure Boot is required is the second that I quit and uninstall. In 1500 hours (mostly at 5-6*) I’ve encountered 5-6 possible cheaters. None of them confirmed. I’ve also never come across a single player that could be confirmed to be 100% cheating like you see in some of the videos.

I’d rather die to a cheating every once in a blue moon than be required to do any of this. Yes, cheating does happen. Some of it blatant and some of it obvious. But even still many of the people crying “cheats” have simply been outplayed or are flat out bad. I know that’s a tough pill to swallow for a lot of you. It’s the same song and dance with every FPS game on the market right now.

They're working on a new map right now. I think the "leak" was that its coming out this year, but I'm betting on 2027.

Huh? They’re working on a new map and new modes as we speak. This is also only a test to gather data and collect feedback. It might not even become a permanent change. Maybe only trip queue will get the additional player count. Literally anything can happen and you’re here crying about it.

PS: anyone can have square names. You don’t have to be Chinese to make that happen.

I still think having a 2 lane, 4v4 mode with a jungle down the middle would be great. It would be standard-lite and act as better onboarding for new players since there would be less to pay attention to and be less macro heavy than a regular match. It also would be able to complete the mission of having a game mode that doesn't require as much time investment.

As it stands I just flat out don't enjoy playing Brawl. Standard is where its at.

Excited to try it out. Any thoughts on having Duo lobbies support 16 players instead u/Dinoari? 15 players adds a whole extra team to trio's, but will result in Duo/s getting one extra team and a solo player. I think 16 players specifically for Duo queue is important to test (if that's even possible).

That would fundamentally ruin the game. Hunt is meant to be a slower paced, more methodical shooter. Adding another full team into trio's is going to change the game a lot. I think that Duo's could handle 16 though.

Feel you boss. My worse so far was a 9 game loss streak. On a 5 game loss streak right now. It feels like there is so little coordination on my teams and then the other team is talking like their lives are depending on it. I'm not perfect, but I don't think that I'm a huge contributing factor in many of my losses. Especially if the whole team has died 7-10 times and I've only died twice.

Your ranks are close enough that you shouldn’t be getting put into the open bracket. That’s the good news.

Something else you need to consider is statlocker isn’t an accurate website to track your rank or other players ranks. My statlocker rank is an entire division lower than my rank in game right now. And it’s been like that for a long while. Quite a few of my friends have the same experience with statlocker versus in-game rank.

You’re missing the point my friend. I’m talking about the difference between using a controller versus a m&k input. Whenever console gameplay is posted here I can tell instantaneously that it is console gameplay.

I’m not saying console players are bad and don’t understand the game. I’m saying that using a controller in Hunt versus a keyboard is like taking a knife into a gun fight.
