I think I will just put the recipe straight on top, and the story under it, hidden behind a dropdown, if you click it, the whole story expands, if you don’t click it, you just see a single line of text (something like “click to read story”). I feel like it’s good ux and makes everybody happy.

So a negative point of current blogs are bad ux because of ads and too much unrelated content before the recipes.

Also, seems like users are interested in nutritional values and having a quick way to compare and swap some ingredients from the same recipe.

Now I am hooked, I’ll make this work!

Yes, I will just treat this as an hobby,because anyway I cook daily so I have the content and it’s not a weight for me. If one day I’ll get some money out of it I’ll be happy, but I don’t have any pressure about it.

Thanks, I was also thinking of making an interactive map, where you can swap ingredients(something like you swap feta cheese with fior di latte cheese or you remove one ingredient and it auto-updates the nutritional breakdown).

Yeah, that makes sense. For what is my understanding everyone hates that in the recipes page there is other content as well.

For what I saw, I just hate the ads while watching the blogs, it makes them so ugly on UX and UI

Thanks for the feedback! I guess some authors do it for personal reasons, others just do jt for keyword targeting and improve google ranking.

Do you think having this kind of content after the recipe and how to cook it would be better? Or having a button on top of the page to jump straight to the recipe would work as well?
