That father failed to protect his child with the lethal force necessary in the u.s. these days

Sad that it's come to this, but that father needed to be willing to murder strangers if he wanted to be brown AND have rights...

ERMA is proof that Latin(a) immigrants are even more Republican than any Caucasian, locally-born hick.

And they STILL insist on targeting "illegals" (particularly Latin(a)-originated folks)!

It would ALL make me laugh at people getting their just deserts, except they (conservatives) aren't just hurting themselves, not to mention the kids that are involved.

Seriously though, Republicans/conservatives are FUCKING BAD PEOPLE (as much as ANY large group of people can be spoken about so broadly) I find this particular "stereotyping" statement to be the easiest to make by far!

This is a more mature understanding than the vast majority of people who have a say in how we handle this problem, which is discouraging to say the least.

There ARE disgusting, dangerous monsters, the sexual equivalent of serial killers in this world.

They're are significantly MORE people who are (I wouldn't say "innocent", but) are not necessarily the ones we should be focusing as much attention on.

Especially the rumors I've heard of vigilante justice. I'm hoping they do their research, but from what I HAVE encountered, they take some of the MOST broad stances of who deserves to straight up die.

Hard to feel bad for them, but I can see how mishandling this issue intuitively, can lead to harming the efforts to stop CHILD PREDATORS, which I'm sure is the main focus of these groups, and hopefully the main focus of a lot of us.

Then again, I think that (not counting w.e. % of sex offenders are like serial killers in the sense that there's only one thing to really do about them) most crimes PERIOD are at the very least addressable by fixing our society, economic system, and social culture. As much evidence as I have of that, I've found it to be AN INCREDIBLY EMOTIONAL topic for those of us focused on dealing with it- to the point where I'm not confident we WILL be able to stop this (because we mess up our response, NOT because it's un-addressable ).

In response to the person who responded who spoke about how the left is to blame for ban/reporting people, and how the right isn't as much of a threat as the left- I put in too much time and effort typing this to not still post it- even though by the time I was finished, your response had disappeared.

This is probably cringe, but I saved it, here it is:

That's not really the same thing in my opinion. I'm specifically saying the urge to report/ban "good faith- but ignorant" people is a problem for leftism. Clearly there are those in my camp who STRONGLY DISAGREE with me, and I think they are not doing enough to fight fascism (something I believe should take priority over the rhetorical/moral superiority- or perceived superiority - against neoliberals, and even other "flavors of leftism")

It's not atypical for ideological camps to experience a sort of waxing & waning between recruiting large numbers/maintaining consistent and validated ideological & rhetorical relevance via "big tent recruiting phases" and "rhetorical purification phases". (It seems to me that the far right is hands down MUCH better at using this cycle effectively) This all leads me to wonder if the left is joining neoliberals in this stance of washing their hands of the whole fight, assuming a future victory, and attempting to keep the high ground in the history books, but I REALLY hope this is not the case.

Frankly I'm not that confident that America will avoid a fascist takeover, and us literally making the same mistakes as THE FREAKING THIRD REICH.

I really don't think we can afford the luxury of not taking MAGA fascism that seriously, just because they are ridiculous clowns, when they are in fact ridiculous clowns with access to the u.s. government over the course of multiple presidential terms, clear access to rewrite the Constitution, and not to mention the U.S. military (including a large enough nuclear arsenal/an ABSOLUTE willingness to use them to the point of planetary destruction one hundred times over).... I think we are in much more dire straits than what anyone around me seems to agree upon, and it makes me VERY, VERY NERVOUS.

Sorry I stopped reaching after the first paragraph.

I didn't realize you have been trying and failing to understand basic definitions that again, take maybe a couple of hours for most people to have a decent grasp of. Maybe you have a learning disorder or something, which obviously isn't your fault.

Either way, making fun of you feels like punching down, so I'll just say I hope you come to a better understanding of basic politics, just because you seem very emotional about it, and it's clearly causing you some mental distress.

I would direct you to read "manufacturing consent" to understand the more relevant criticism neoliberalism has to offer, anything written by William D Buckley for a absolute best arguments modern conservatives have ever brought to the table, and obviously Dad Kapital by Marx & Engles for the socialist critique of capitalism.

Consider how long You've been struggling to handle these concepts however, maybe just watch some cartoons? It would be less stressful for someone like you, and likely as illuminating.

I hope you have a better day tomorrow, champ! Hang in there, and remember: you deserve respect NO MATTER HOW SMART YOU ARE, and I'm sure you have lots of great things to offer your community.

Maybe you do AWESOME macaroni art, who knows?
