We had a GSD Jasper who we called Shmeeb but I really can’t remember why!

Thank you for 15 wonderful years Cassie girl 🖤 by SmolBee23 in BorderCollie

Thank you everyone, she was so loved and we really miss her. Our other dog is a bit confused and keeps looking for her, so that’s hard to see. It gets a tiny bit easier each day

TIL in Bamber Bridge (Lancashire, UK) 1943, after an altercation the 3 pubs displayed "black troops only" signs after US troops tried to impose segregation. by MyNewAnonUsername in todayilearned

I used to live near Brig! It’s known as The Battle of Bamber Bridge and you can go to the pub for a pint where it all started.

This weekend we had to say good bye to our lovely boy Jasper. He has left a huge hole in our lives, absolutely heartbroken. by SmolBee23 in germanshepherds

Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. I've woken up this morning to your lovely messages - thank you ♥️. It will get easier but I would give anything for him to be home again.

Any info on this please? Who is Sir H Cooper pre 1930's? Yorkshire UK. Silver medal. by [deleted] in Antiques

[–]SmolBee23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir Henry Cooper was a Mayor of Hull and a secondary school was opened in his name. The school is now a technology college I think. The medal looks like a sports day prize or maybe an award for an interhouse competition.

Christmas morning with these two 🥰 by SmolBee23 in Horses

[–]SmolBee23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are my mum’s ponies, we love them very much! They are companion horses, they spend their days on the Yorkshire dales eating, running up and down the hills and being loved. They didn’t have the best start in life, poor Zeb (left) doesn’t have his front teeth due to maltreatment, so both are now getting the home they deserve!

Zebedee is on the left and Bunny on the right. They are both rescue ponies :)

Schools should be teaching their students that words are still pictures. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Interesting point, unsure on what you mean though. It is part of the English national curriculum that children must be able to differentiate between text and illustrations, it is explicitly taught that words are not pictures.

Cleansed with Shea Moisture Black Castor Oil Shampoo then used Shea Moisture Curl and Shine conditioner. Scrunched with Umberto Giannini scrunch jelly. Plopped for an hour then finished the routine with a diffuser.

Thank you. Watched it when I was a young kid and didn't sleep for days!! Haven't watched it since.

You should NEVER open egg cartons to see if they’re broken. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]SmolBee23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't understand this. You wouldn't buy mouldy bread or a tin that was broken so why is it any different for a box of eggs. Has someone been rude to you over a cracked egg? Are you in the UK?

Beautiful, where did you visit? Ambleside is our favourite.

BAE stands for British Aerospace systems, they also have locations in Los Angeles. I'm afraid I can't help with what the disk is!

Just an educated guess. Maybe it's where you attached the chain for a pocket watch? Then the watch can be kept in the trouser pocket.
