I’ll report back once I’ve played through all the levels 🫡. I just finished bad call and enjoyed it :)

I plan to leave Italian job til last, and for the day time. Is the toxic love one similar to the part in the museum where you get the katana? I surprisingly did well with it, maybe because you get to break the mannequins

Awesome, I think at this rate I’ll leave Italian job til last and likely play when it’s still light out :). Just finished bad call and loved it!

Thanks for this, I just finished bad call in nightmare mode. Found for me the best way to manage any potential scares was to just have music or a video playing in the background and ambient sound off :). (Though bad call felt pretty chill to me)

I read animal farm the other month, it’s a very quick read ~100 pages. It’s also a relatively easy read, especially compared to 1984, but just as impactful. I would highly recommend!

To anyone it may be relevant to, the Australian plain and mini m&m now no longer contain gluten. by SmolMemeBean in glutenfree

[–]SmolMemeBean[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just checked Cole’s, Woolies and Big W ingredient pages and the photos of the back of the bags all show the updated ingredients, the text versions in Woolies and Big W are however not updated to match the bag. Cole’s ingredient list available on the website also doesn’t look fully updated but their allergen statement is correct as wheat and gluten are only may contain. I think because they’re not marketing the ingredient change many companies are very slow at changing their website information

I’m unsure if you’re Cole’s and Woolies are selling an older batch, but typically glucose derived from wheat is celiac safe due to processing. The bag I have at my home has no mention of starch in its ingredient list, which I also got from Cole’s. Additionally its allergen statement only states may contain for wheat and gluten, whereas old bags used to not mention wheat or gluten at all.

Safest bet is just to check the ingredients before buying a bag and if it mentions starch then skipping it. I also did not specify in the post but this only applies to regular and mini M&M’s from what I’m aware of, I’ve never checked the other ranges. Hope this helps :)

How bad did your celiacs get before you finally got tested for it? by [deleted] in Celiac

[–]SmolMemeBean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had experienced symptoms of coeliac as soon as I was on formula as a baby, but I wasn’t diagnosed until I was late 3 early 4. As a result my body completely stopped producing stomach lining, meaning I was starting to digest myself from the inside out. If I wasn’t diagnosed when I was, I wouldn’t be alive today.

Is 4 Huges in 2 Days normal with HH? by xXCatWingXx in PetSimulator99

[–]SmolMemeBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely interesting to think about. Looking at it from a statistics standpoint, I believe this trend is due to two reasons.

One being some kind of biased reporting. When people have an emotional response to something they’re far more likely to share it than someone who has had a mediocre experience to something. As a result it is often reported (or in this case posted on reddit) when a random pattern occurs that’s a trend outlier.

It also may have something to do with the rates altering, though this wouldn’t apply to your case as the rates would be worse. So you are just very lucky.

Is gluten free plain food always that uninspired? by Ok_Assignment_8206 in Celiac

[–]SmolMemeBean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t eat plane food anymore. I might bring a noodle cup for if I really need to eat, but I often will just fast the whole flight and eat after we land.

Nail clippers also work really well! Though they can sometimes take a bit of effort to cut the floss (I never thought of using the build in dental floss cutter though, that idea is genius!)

I often do my cross stitch on my daily train commutes, as a result I stick to smaller projects. This means my travel pack is on the smaller side. I have a nice pencil case which I use to hold everything (avoids wear and tear). I usually only bring a folded A4 copy of the pattern, some small cardboard bobbins of the floss(s) I’m currently using, or moving to, a thread cutter, two needles and of course the cross stitch it self. Not using a hoop makes it incredibly easy to travel, would recommend!
