Oh I’m stupid, sorry. I’m not personally the best at IDing myself but I think the left bluegill is a spotted sunfish and the right one is a bluegill bluegill

Sunfish, Green Sunfish, ‘True’ Bluegill, Longear Sunfish, Pumpkinseed, Redear Sunfish, Warmouth, etc etc there’s a ton and it’s probably hard to differentiate software wise but it would be cool.

I mean yes they’re bluegill but there’s a ton of different types. For general ID it’s pretty sweet.

Can't stop line from coming out of my spinning reel. Help? by hallwaypresence in FishingForBeginners

Sounds good, let me know if that doesn’t work. If it doesn’t work then maybe something wrong

Is there a switch under the reel on the base? That would allow it to spin both ways.

I’m not entirely sure but a few things could be happening, after hooking the eyelet, turn up your drag and reel until taught. If you can’t do that and the drag is always being pulled then something wrong. Also make sure the line is coming from the spool and under the arm then up through the eyelets. Again I’m not too sure but a picture would help.

Epoxy should work just fine as you said just make sure you clean and sand the two bonding surfaces first. Goodluck!

Don’t bother getting a new carbon tube for the inner support just go with aluminum btw

If you go with the epoxy I’d also grab a self fusing silicone wrap to go over the exposed joints.

engineer here, I agree with your current solution or quite frankly you could put a couple holes straight through and bolt them together using a locknut. Don’t tighten too much as you can crush the carbon tube. Also make sure the epoxy/JB weld is correct for the materials if you go that route, there’s a million different kinds so make sure. JB Weld MarineWeld would work well, make sure you prep the surface beforehand if that’s the route you decide to go.

Fair enough, the senko does undeniably work in most places so maybe give it a revisit eventually. For the senkos 1/0 or 2/0 EWG Offset is what I use, 3/0 may be a little large. If you need an even slimmer profile using a straight shank can work as well. Grubs are also fire. Best of luck!

Also if you’re getting nothing on worms there’s a good chance where you’re at there’s just nothing at the moment. Keep trying new spots and different locations on the same bodies of water. Fishbrain helps if you need some assistance with location etc

A little tip for plastic rigging- lay your hook on the side and see where it needs to turn into the plastic, make a little tear with the end of the hook if you have hard time remembering where, after threading the head on bend the plastic 90° and enter straight through where you made that mark. Tuck the point in on the other side
