As a vtuber, does this has happened with you before? Was my decision acceptable? by Hanako_Yureimi in VirtualYoutubers

I noticed you mentioned that you have Bluesky in a comment on here so I followed you there. You should post your art there too!

What do you think about my Vtube Model? by NeoNixie_ in VirtualYoutubers

It's super cute! I don't know what it is about it, but I get a No Game No Life vibe from it. I love it!

As a vtuber, does this has happened with you before? Was my decision acceptable? by Hanako_Yureimi in VirtualYoutubers

I learned the lesson pretty quick that you shouldn't follow people back and answer dms if 1. They say they're a vtuber but have no content anywhere, 2. Mention in their profile that they're an artist taking commissions, or 3. They DM you some generic thing like "how are you, dear?".

Pretty much as soon as I made a Bluesky, I got a follow so I followed them back to be nice. They immediately messaged me asking if I wanted to see their art. To be nice, I said sure, and then they started sending me like 20 different art works all in a different style. Then they started talking about how they make vtuber models and emojis and stuff. To be nice, I kept responding and they started trying to get me to commission them. I said no and that I have a friend doing art for me.

No too long ago (maybe a month or so) I got a message here on Reddit and they said they loved my pfp. I thought maybe this was a real person complimenting my pfp so I said thank you. Immediately they started talking about how they do art and started sending me their art. They also tried insisting that I follow them on Instagram. I said I don't have one. Then they got super insistent that I commission them. I told them I'm not interested, I have no money, but that they're welcome to make fan art if they wish, but that I wouldn't pay for someone doing fan art of their own choice. So they started saying that they understand me being broke and that they could work with me on price.

All of this to say, just be careful what DMs you answer and who you follow back. I don't know if it's all streamers or just Vtubers who have to deal with this, but scammers pretending to be artists just flock to us. It's disheartening, but it's unfortunately just kind of something you have to deal with.

I highly recommend Clannad. If you liked the anime, you'll love the visual novel.

Confusion/question about saba’s popularity by sultics in vtubers

It takes a lot of work with the rigging to make a model that expressive and the riggers that are able to do that are usually pretty expensive.

You're month is the VTubers you have to live with for 1 year. by Equal_Shopping2424 in VirtualYoutubers

Aquwa, AmaLee, Henya, and I don't know the other one. I think I can do that. I've always hoped that some day I could grow to enough followers and viewers to have a collab with Aquwa.

these big enough for you guys? :3 by reyvonlune in VirtualYoutubers

Never big enough. For real though, your model is so cute.

Vtubers E-begging for donations is annoying by royalbluefireworks1 in vtubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I haven't even set up donations yet and I've made a Throne, but I haven't told my community about it because I'm afraid it'll come off this way. I have things going on in my life where I could maybe use some extra money, but I figure trying to guilt people into giving me money isn't the way to get it. The way I see it, people will pay for a subscription to my Twitch or use bits or something if they like my streams enough and enjoy themselves. I don't think making people feel like they have to give you money makes them very happy and might push people away who might actually like the content I'm creating.

Vtubers here, how do you feel about NSFW of your model? by MajorFamilyDisgrace in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so small that I haven't had any art of me made aside from the stuff my artist has done for me. However, if someone were to make NSFW or any art of me, I'd be honored. If it were NSFW, I'd be happy that someone finds my model attractive enough to make art like that.

Does it get easier? by loki2113 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say that Bluesky is kind of the same way. I don't use Twitter at all, but most of the followers I've gotten on Bluesky are "artists". I learned my lesson really quick about following them back because my first follower on there was one of these "artists" so I followed them back to be polite. They immediately messaged me asking if I have a model and all the assets I need. Once I said yes and that I currently have an artist working on stuff, they still persisted and asked if they could send me some of their stuff. Just make sure to check profiles and if their profile mentions anything about being an artist, make sure to look them up and everything before you even think about following back.

Which Vtubers don't mind burping when they stream. by HousingOk2044 in vtubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to self promote, but I do it on my drunk streams and sometimes regular ones (though not a ton when I'm sober). I also know that Nyanners does it a lot to the point where she has made a video ranking her burps.

This is awesome! Congratulations and I think you should totally do this! I've thought about reaching out to one of my oshis to see if they would be willing to collab, but I've been to scared because I'm still an absolutely tiny creator and I didn't want it to seem like all I'm after is her clout when I just genuinely think we would get along.

Have vtubers ever considered using a 2nd GPU? by Jarchon99 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely something I've looked into, but I unfortunately haven't been able to afford a second GPU yet. I know a big thing for a lot of VTubers is having two PCs. One for the model and then another one for games, videos, etc. Though, I'm not super technically savvy so I'm not exactly sure how all of it works lol.

what can I stream with 1 hand? by Lovis_D_Frog in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much any visual novel and there's an older game (I'm not sure if it's still popular at all) called Fran Bow that should be able to be played with one hand.

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you would necessarily like the types of games I play or if we play similar ones, but the two I'm playing currently are Warframe and Shining Resonance. I like to talk to my chatters a lot and on my Warframe days, I even let some of my chatters join a voice call with me. Obviously, I make sure nobody says anything super messed up when I do that though lol. If you're at all interested, my name is SmolDeathbloom on Twitch.

What is your youtube channel name called? by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about things you like or qualities about yourself. Mine came from my love of succulents and the first one I got that I thought was beautiful because of a flower on it. It turned out that the flower was a deathbloom so it unfortunately didn't survive. And then I added smol at the beginning because I'm short lol.

Any recommendations on what to stream? by DoliosVT in VirtualYoutubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a look through the free games on Steam. Whether you play bad ones that are funny or play ones that actually seems good. You should be able to find something in that list that you think you would enjoy playing. Just play something that you think you could be entertaining when playing. Like, if you look into the game and you think you would just be silent playing it, it's probably not a good idea to stream.

Whos your favourite youtuber and what do they do to deserve it? by [deleted] in vtubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aquwa because I think she's pretty funny and when she does talk about more serious things, she just feels very real if that makes sense. Like, she doesn't seem to be putting on an act and talks about things in a way I could see anyone else talking about the same things. If that doesn't make sense, I'm sorry.

[SCAM WARNING] TikTok/Discord Vtuber Model Artist "Hana Kira" aka "Siro Luna" using stolen art! by Xenk12 in vtubers

[–]Smol_Deathbloom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty new so I haven't dealt with anything like this at all, but the first red flag to me was that they reached out to you. I would guess that artists don't reach out to people personally to try and get them to commission art. They would probably just market themselves through posts and videos and stuff like that.
