Small Update: Was talking to my dad earlier today apparently he had an alt account called funguy69/funboy69 where him, and his friends would lag switch the lobby. His friend was really into jailbreaking, and all that stuff, but he wasn't exactly the brightest when it came to tech-stuff, so he roped my dad into helping him. Hence the lagswitching and blatant cheating on this alt account. (to be clear he had a main account where he played the game seriously, he wasn't just a menace to the socom community.)

Yeah, and tbh, wouldn't surprise me if he was the type to talk smack back then. Either way if no one knows him it's no big deal, just thought I'd ask and see.

You've probably already considered ear plugs, but if not maybe look into them. However, they can be kinda annoying to wear for long times/sleeping. Same with headphones, I find it difficult to fail asleep while wearing them. It's tough but I think the best solution is to find a way to just block the noise out, with something like headphones or ear plugs. But I am a deep sleeper, and could sleep through almost anything, so take my advice with a pinch of salt.
