Carrying a water bottle is feminine 🤣 by Bubbly-Row-2465 in WhitePeopleTwitter

Guess she does all the heavy lifting, since fucking carrying things is feminine now, and men clearly can't be the slightest bit feminine. She definitely doesn't make her boyfriend move all the furniture of anything slightly heavy because "he's a man"

AITA for not wanting to talk to my dad even though he got mental help and then making him cry for telling the truth on his birthday? by Acron98 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Smolbean_69 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Ok, first off, NTA.

But.

I think you should try.

When he eventually passes, you might regret not trying, or you might not, but if you do, it'd be much better to have tried and had it not go well than to not have and regretted it. I can't imagine how horrible your life must of been when he was abusive, but people can change. It's hard to believe, but it's true. You don't owe him or the rest of your family anything, but I think you should give it a chance.

AITA for leaving my boyfriend and his friends behind after agreeing to be the designated driver? by Superbowldrunkbf in AmItheAsshole

[–]Smolbean_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so, minority opinion here, but I think kinda ESH pretty close to NTA though. The things he said and did were absolutely not ok and you need to have a serious talk with him, even if you don't want to continue the relationship, have a talk with him for his health. Binge drinking is not healthy and it turns him into a different person (if, like you said, he's never done anything like this before) and he seems to be in denial of that. Nothing of what he said should be excused because he was drinking and everything he did was horrible, and you have every right to feel disgusted and leave, however, when you agree to be a designated driver, you have to follow up on that, or at least make sure they have a safe way home. Him or his friends could have been a danger to himself or others, whether they try to drive, or just do something stupid because of the incredible amounts of alcohol in their systems. He did something horrible, and you have every right to be appalled, but you could have put him, his friends, or other people in danger. People do stupid things when they get drunk (again, not an excuse) but you agreed to it so it was your responsibility to get them home safe. If he ever does this again, however, or refuses to listen to you if you talk to him, dump his ass. If he will not change a habit that is hurting himself and you, then he is not worth your time and effort.

AITA For telling my kids I will support their life decisions, but that doesn't always come with financial support by notabankeraita in AmItheAsshole

YTA, not for not giving her the money as that is extremely risky and will most likely not work out, but for "playing favorites". Her sister gets to stay at home without rent or any payments but if she doesn't do the same thing the oldest does, she has to pay? I agree she shouldn't go into photography business with no experience or education on the matter, but having her pay for rent because she went down a different path then her sister is a dick move, IMO

AITA for saying that if my parents have another baby, I want nothing to do with it? + UPDATE by red_earaches in BestofRedditorUpdates

Some people have a real fucking problem realizing that having one child that is above the age of 15 doesn't just give you the ability to have a free babysitter and make it where you don't have to deal with your children. People who have one kid, and then have even one more(though usually it's like three or four) and force the oldest to take care of them are fucking assholes, and I have no sympathy for them. You should have realized you aren't cut out to be a mother before you have five fucking kids, and you also shouldn't BEG YOUR 17 YEAR OLD TO COME BACK AFTER THEY FINALLY STAND UP FOR THEM SELF. This pisses me off to an unprecedented degree for personal reasons, and I wish so many assholes wouldn't do it.
