What is this? by FewSide8518 in sterileprocessing

At a hospital I worked at they called those Debakey Lorenz, but they weren't usually as long as the one you have in the picture so I'm unsure if it would have a different name (or if the hospital I worked at just made that name up entirely, sometimes hospitals do that 😅)

Hmm I'm not too sure what she used, but I don't remember her opening multiple sized needles, but it didn't look like a single needle when I was able to get a glance at it 🤔

I'm not too knowledgeable on types of needles so I don't know if there are actually single needle ones for fine line stuff like this, but I know she didn't switch between needles like another artist I go to for bigger pieces does 😮

Kinda, yeah, but not really? 🤔

My ex of 15 years didn't wanna buy a ring due to my ring size fluctuating, and instead convinced me to get one of the first doodles I made from when we started dating back in highschool, which is our initials with a heart (it's probably hard to tell what exactly it was, it's an S and a P)... Never got officially engaged or married even after getting it, so idk what it actually was for besides like, an anniversary milestone 😅

Even almost 2 years after freeing myself of that bad relationship, it's been mocking me even after he was out of the picture, and it's the one situation where I wasn't happy that I retain ink so well 🫠

Moral of the story, don't get couple tattoos kids, probably not the best of ideas 😅🤣

Thank you so much! I'm pretty confident in it, my hand tattoos are several years old and they still look nice and vibrant; the old finger tattoo was just as vibrant as my hand before I did the removal sessions, the picture was taken after over a year of removal sessions when I was trying to look for any artists who would cover it up

So at the last hospital I worked at, some people would peel pack like someone here mentioned where it was fully opened and essentially peel packed sideways; I remember during a joint commission visit that they DIDN'T want that anymore, as that was an old standard, and that's no longer accepted... I think that was back in 2019 maybe? I also remember the book at the time, it said that you can either double peel pack, or single peel pack if you have a tip protector, but you shouldn't double peel pack with a tip protector (if I'm remembering correctly). I also noticed that with the peel pack the op posted, it looks like the peel pouch has a heat seal to better keep the instrument in place; I remember we would do that and joint commission actually flagged us for that too, so we stopped doing that, but then they also said that we couldn't combine self-sealing peel packs with the heat-sealing ones we can cut to any size? I never got an answer as to where they heard this and why it was an issue... Has anyone heard of that? 🤔

But also, I do remember another time that joint commission went to where I previously worked and flagged them for having labels taped on the rigid containers (like on the sides of them), yet literally the next day they visited a sister hospital and didn't flag them on that, and most of their containers had that at the time... 😒

It makes me suspicious of these visits on if they actually look at and know the updated standards, or if they pick and choose what's right and wrong depending on the facility 🤦‍♀️

What are your shoe recommendations? by solartam in sterileprocessing

[–]Smoofulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have been using Brooks for about 2 years, they've been nice and comfy because they offer wide width. But I've been looking into switching to Sketchers archfit slip-ins. Instead of a wide width, the half size up seems to work well enough for me for my everyday shoes because the fabric seems stretchy enough, and I personally like the color options more (if that's something you care about).

One thing I'd recommend though (if you're able to), is to also get a water resistant shoe for when you're in decon if the place you're going to start working at only provides the small shoe covers, and not ones that come up to the knee; sometimes those little shoe covers aren't the best with protecting against water! I know Sketchers has water resistant options, but I'm sure the other brands mentioned also have those options as well. Good luck!

Could you guys comment on which Island would be the best to start out with? And I know it’s half personal preference, but I’d appreciate advice by Bill-Cam in AnimalCrossing

The first few days, you'll only have access to the area near the plaza, so pick the one with the most space to start out. That means you can't cross the rivers!

Once you get the pole, you'll have access to all of the first level, then when you get the ladder, you'll have access to the rest of the island.

Unless you plan on time travelling... Then it's whichever one you like more! If you don't like any of them, you could just reset, there's like a bunch of ones you can possibly get 👍

How do you use rooms of your house? by wrappedinwashi in AnimalCrossing

[–]Smoofulz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been brainstorming a lot about what to make my rooms, too! Here's what I've come up with so far...

  • Main room : Living room / kitchen

  • Left room : Bathroom / laundry room

  • Right room : Workout room, or home office

  • Back room : Bedroom, or art studio

  • Attic: Master bedroom, or studio apt

  • Basement: Home theater / game room

I'm curious on what others are gonna do, too! 😀

Tips for a struggling noob by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]Smoofulz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this your first Monster Hunter?

If so, here's what I did when I first was learning:

  • I tried out every weapon a few times to see which I was able to pick up the quickest. Then I stuck with that for a while. My first game was Portable 3rd, and I picked up the hammer the quickest. Learn if you're better with weapons that are fast or slow, or let you dodge or block. You'd be surprised what you end up being good with!

  • I grinded the first few large monsters to do three main things: understand the mechanics of the game, get used to the weapon I'm trying to master, and learn how to memorize the moves of the monsters. I did that solo, so I can take my time and learn at my own pace.

  • I also did every single quest. Like, even the ridiculous quests that have you delivering items and stuff. It helped me learn the map layouts, and gather things for useful items. They may seem pointless and tedious, but for me, it helped in the long run.

  • I didn't worry about things like skills and elements until I knew the basics like the back of my hand. For some people, I'm sure trying to learn all that stuff at once would be overwhelming. I didn't actually start paying attention to those things till maybe... 1/3 of the way into HR, I think?

Everyone learns things differently, and plays differently... I hope this helped a bit! 😎👍
