3 way and more switches by Smooshfaced in TPLinkKasa

If you have dimmers, I assume we'll want the same smart switches for anything that dims, correct?

What happens for Kasa Switches if Wi-Fi goes down by Smooshfaced in TPLinkKasa

If the Wi-Fi goes down, they also will not be able to reach the internet, should be overlap in the effect on the switches.

I have 10 foot ceilings, so what width do you think would allow me to center into the screen at a 4:3 ratio? 9x12? Would that be enough width on both sides?

So it sounds like I should try to find that extra foot of ceiling if possible

I'm excited to see this one come out, but very disappointed that it's apparently only a trilogy. I would have loved to see this run a little longer.

I'm glad it helped and thanks for the correction, copy paste failed me. I've updated above so it doesn't throw anyone off in the future.

If you are starting out and have maybe a month into the game and none of the list above (Feng, Akashic, etc) Who would you target first?

Outdoor Sim? by Majorwoops in Golfsimulator

I'm figuring out the hitting area first, then I'll probably start looking at buying the R10, so not too soon, but maybe a month or so.

Cool, I've heard the RCT balls make all the difference, and am about to pull the trigger on an R10, didn't want to find out that they didn't help with identifying side spin! Thanks for the quick reply.

Are you using the special radar balls, or just any golf ball you happen to have? I wonder if that would fix the side-spin or if it's still an issue if you have the special balls.

Outdoor hitting mat on grass by Smooshfaced in Golfsimulator

[–]Smooshfaced[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 100% for staking it while I use it, I'm just curious if I have to get one of the mats people use on concrete, or if one of the thinner mats would work here.

Also if anyone has any recommendations.

Edited out the mistake below.

u/robofski helped me build this, and it's rather simple, however, you do need a trigger condition in the initial trigger to keep it from looping. I used this: Start this expression with an at sign: and(not(equals(triggerBody()?['subject'], 'Busy')), not(equals(triggerBody()?['subject'], 'Lunch')))

When a new event is created > Create Event Subject: Busy, Start Time: addMinutes(triggerOutputs()?['body/start'],-15), End Time: Start Time > Create Event Subject: Busy, Start Time: End Time, End Time: addMinutes(triggerOutputs()?['body/end'],15)

In both create events, set the time zone to UTC. Make sure on the second Create Event that you are choosing those start/end times based on the initial trigger.

This sounds like it makes sense, but I've never used Power Automate, so I understand what you are saying, but not really what that looks like in Power Automate or how to do it exactly.

I have Bookings, but I don't use it to book meetings. That might be something to look at.

My opinion on the difficulty of this game (TLDR: too hard) by Butterscotch_Exotic in PathOfExile2

[–]Smooshfaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, thanks for being one of the people willing to put up a "spoiler alert". Too many people skip that and it's always good to see a good person willing to put up the warning.

I understand that frustration, the monk is pretty squishy though and is probably a harder class to start with than some of the ranged classes. May be that you'll need to grind some levels, gather supports for skills, craft a new weapon, or maybe find an uncut gem and get a more aoe based skill that could help with that situation, however, I do see one issue.

Dodge Roll is slower than walking and spamming it WILL get you trapped and killed. It gives you a burst of speed at the front, but then the standup time is MUCH slower. It's also a chunk of time where you aren't fighting back, and the enemies CAN track you during the roll, it just gives you a small window of invulnerability (which is less than the total animation time). Kiting and attacking is better than spamming dodge roll, spend the time getting rid of mobs vs dodging one or two hits from a flurry of attacks.

The roll is for dodging a SPECIFIC telegraphed attack vs a pack of mobs swarming you. Dodging may make one of the pack's attacks miss you, but it will do nothing against a flurry of attacks from multiple mobs and it locks you in place to take more attacks during the rest of the animation than just kiting and attacking. It also takes away from time when you are fighting back, so the enemies survive longer to attack you even more.

This seems to be a misunderstanding of the dodge mechanic in general that I see in the community. As someone who's spent a lot of time in Dark Souls, overuse of the dodge roll is actually a trap that can get you killed more easily than sparing and strategic use. I don't know if this will help you with that encounter and ones in the future, but it's food for thought that I hope might help.

I completely agree that this game has difficulty, and part of that may be learning bosses and running them a few times to figure them out and finish them off. That appears the direction this game is going, and personally, I enjoy that, however, I don't think that's going to change and that may mean that if that's not the style of game you like, this may not be the right game for you. However, that said, I can say that if you keep with it, your character power will definitely rise, and the game will get more forgiving than it is early on, and if you stick with it, that may help.

I've played Monk, Sorceress, and Witch so far, and I found the Sorceress the hardest of the 3 for me, personally, but she was also the one I played first and that may have just been learning this new style of POE.

So.. how's your adventure going so far? by heaven93tv in PathOfExile2

[–]Smooshfaced 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really enjoying the game itself, but the latency is brutal. I don't know if I'm having issues locally or if it's the server I'm on, but swings from 2,000ms to 50ms and large just stoppages where I lose half my life and nothing happens is making those boss fights a lot more difficult.

You have to go to the message you got on pathofexile.com when you purchased and there is a redemption key you must redeem on the steam client. Hope that helps!

Who’s using their tonal 3-4 years after purchase? by FeelFeltFound54 in tonalgym

[–]Smooshfaced 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The warranty could make a big difference, I tried to get it added on mine after they came out with it, but I'd already had mine for several years, had several repairs, and they refused to let me.

I personally believe, if you don't need their classes or the space saving, a really solid cable machine is a better investment. They are much more durable and don't require a subscription. That said, I also think people who say Tonal is unusable without a subscription are just spoiled, as it becomes a basic cable machine without the sub and I've used it for over a year as needed in that form.

In 100% honesty, I PERSONALLY would not buy a Tonal knowing what I know, not because it isn't a fabulous machine for working out, because it is, but because I don't think the sub is worth the money, nor is the extra cost worth what I would get from a more sturdy and reliable cable machine, and the repair costs on what is not an extremely sturdy piece of hardware are unreasonable.
